Are you expecting the extra prep time to make a difference?

On Thanksgiving obviously we had a short turn around with our QB nursing several injuries I'm sure having really three days of prep time was especially taxing. Now that we're heading into Philly off ten days rest how much of a difference will that make for us? Philly is coming off what I'd call a bruising game as well I'm just hoping Romo will be more on point & also to get better play out of the O-line this time around.

not prep time. but rest time. last game we had a sunday night game!! on the road and then travel to get ready for a Thursday game. Philly had a 1:00 game at home. we just looked tired and out of whack. I promise it won't be the same this game.

I think this prep time is being seriously downplayed.

This is 3 extra days and that is huge.
Honestly 10 days between football game is a perfect amount of time.
Body takes 3 or 4 to heal/recover for the guys over 25. Can then work/condition full out for 2 days.
Then you can go through normal game prep.

Normal weeks you condense recovery and work days.
Travel weeks you condense game prep.

Romo didn't take a shot for the short week game because they don't like to shoot you up that close together.
He was probably advised against it and said OK.
Playing on 10 days that certainly isn't an issue and he can even get in 2 days of core work if he chooses.

I wouldn't be shocked to see this game be a reverse of the Thanksgiving game with us winning by 20.

Rest time for Murray, Romo and McClain and we get Heath (ST), Patmon and Lawrence back.

9 days of dissecting every angle on both sides of the ball.

These two factors will be huge for us and I have no doubt we will come out the complete opposite on Thanksgiving.

Depends on how they use those 9 days.

A little OT in the 'ol film room wouldn't hurt.

Extra prep time only works if we make adjustments.

If Marinelli comes out playing that same lame, deep zone a majority of the time, it wouldn't matter if we had a month off and Philly played the night before. We'll get shredded.

It would be interesting to see what team's records are the week after playing the hawks. I am too lazy to do the work but I would venture to guess with their physical style it wouldn't be all that great.
The last seven teams to play the Seahawks lost their next game. The first four of those (Rams, Panthers, Raiders, Giants) are all bad teams, so they aren't very interesting. But the last three are interesting. The Chiefs lost to the Raiders. The Cardinals lost to the Falcons. And the 49ers lost to the Raiders. I kinda wish the Eagles were playing the Raiders this week!

As far as the original question here, I think the short week made a huge difference, but I don't think the long week matters very much (relative to a regular 7 days).

Yeah see when I asked the question I wasn't really differentiating between rest & actual game planning and practice time. The point was will having 9 days between games make a huge difference as oppose to having three days.

I think generally we do more prep at halftime then we do during the run-up to the game. I guess what I'm trying to say is we seem to be more prepared for the 2nd half with 30 minutes than the 1st half with a week or more.

The last 7 teams to lose to Seattle lost the following week too.

Those 9-10 days vs. 7 days might make a difference between the regular 7 day spread, because (a) it neutralizes the back to back away game penalty, and (b) we have a significant number of players on the mend - i.e. every off day helps.
