Matthews is a talented spaz. Here's why I'm not afraid of his borderline play:

Dak is much, much tougher than Matthews.

I've yet to see Dak show more than a wince after a hit this season. Prescott is stout **.

We all remember the last time we played them in the Playoffs and he was taking late dirty low hits on Romo. I wouldn't be surprised if he tried to cut Tyron Smith at his knees or something to get him out of the game. Or go at Dak's knees. I just don't trust this guy at all.
Haven't worried about that guy in four years

The one low hit that Matthews had on Romo that someone posted the other day was nowhere near a "cheap shot." Matthews was blocked at the knees by Demarco Murray and he began to stumble down and had no choice but to go low on Romo. However his hit was closer to Romo's thigh than his knee. He never intentionally targeted Romo's legs he was falling down. What should have been called was a late hit but no way was that a cheap shot.

Only thing that scares me is Rogers, contain him and aside from Dallas giving the ball away like its going out of style, I can't see how GB can win. Everything rides on Rogers imo

So we should send someone to take a cheap shot on Rodgers is what you're saying? :D

With this team, it took a bit, but I'm not scared of anything or anyone. I guarantee if he starts with that, someone on our team will make sure he stops.

I am hoping he has a hard time playing dirty while being pile driven into the ground by Tyron Smith.

Unfortunately for clay boi, he is stepping up in competition in regards to this o line vs the giants oline.
Last 2 games that we have played them, including the playoff game in 14,
Matthews has recorded 4 tackles. That's 2 / game folks.
Meanwhile his counterpart, Sean lee had 13 in the oct game alone.
So to the OP, yea it bears watching because in all likelihood his only chance to make an impact will be charging the pile late

I've never really considered Matthews a dirty player as much as he's mostly just an ultra-aggressive and intense one. He'll get plenty of capable opposition from the Cowboys linemen and others, so that in itself should keep the angst to a minimum.

Dak and Zeke are already afforded star protection that Rome never had.

I think you are right..............I have seen more roughing flags for Dak this season than I have seen Romo get in his entire 14 years in the league.

I swear, Romo must have screwed the wives and girlfriends of every ref in the league the way he gets treated like a tackling dummy and never any flags.

I appreciate your concerns about the sun, the moon, and Clay Matthews, cej757, but just try enjoy the fact that your Boys are about to put a whooping on Mr. Rodgers and his Packers. Think about how great that is going to be.

Clay has been banged up and ineffective for much of this season. The play he made last week was the first he's made in a number of games. Peppers was extremely effective. He's playing like a veteran that knows this may be his last chance. The other guy to look for is Nick Perry. Even though he is currently wearing a glove, he's been effective. He sets the edge in the run defense, and can get to the QB. This has been his best season as a Packer, and he's been our most consistent OLB.

I hope we don't see any dirty plays from either team. Play straight up - may the best team win.

Im worried his pride will be obliterated by our offensive line. Thats alot for a young man to handle.
