I think a lot of us are just "pretending in our minds" Cox was our 3rd round pick traded with the Eagles. That would be great to see 2 picks directly linked to the trade stick it twice a year to them.

I find it amusing that people think this is such a great pick and the Wright pick is so bad.....why?
Nothing more than name recognition from the media. I seriously doubt that anyone on this board can contradict anything the scouts clearly felt about the player when touting him for a draft pick. Cox wasn't a good pick because the media told you so. He'll be a good pick if he actually has a niche in the new defense and a plan for use by the staff. The same is true of every draft selection.

Those who love the Bohannon pick just because he's 330 also make me laugh. He's either a good player and can stop the run or he isn't and can't.

He’s actually a very solid pick no matter how it came about

Cox played very well in a system that has serious competition
It’s not about no one knowing Wright
I see what the scouts seen once I looked
But cox was taken after where most thought he would go
And Wright was taken ahead of where most thought he would go

Obviously was a great value, and will be a stalwart in nickel packages against the pass. If he could take on blocks better, and really support against the run, he could force some higher priced guys off the roster. Here's hoping that he can develop in that area.
