I think he was being sarcastic. At least, I hope he was.

No, he wasn't. Art is the biggest homer on the planet. He's also completely delusonal. He thinks he is some great writer and can best anyone with his reparte. He will tell you every player the Skins get is great, everyone they get rid of sucks (even if he went to great lengths to show you their greatness the year before when they were Skins) and he'll insist he's won every debate. He just neglects one minor detail - all those great players keep losing every year. All those teams he will insist are legit, and bend over backwards to prove the superiority of, suck in the end and get swept by us. Art is like Don Quixote, living in a fantasy world where he's slaying dragons - when in reality he's running into windmills.

Don't forget that he's also a moderator, so anytime he loses an argument, he can just close the thread and pretend it never happened.

Well...

I apologized for comparing them to the 85 Bears because clearly the Commanders were statistically superior and the only thing seperating the two defenses, were their respective offenses.

So i threw up the 2003 Cowboys who were statistically superior and suffered from being offensively challenged as well.

:)

Wrong. Art left out the key stats from the 1985 Bears' defense -- sacks, turnovers and points allowed. The 1985 Bears had 64 sacks for 483 yards in losses (compared to the 2004 Skins' 40 sacks for 245 yards in losses). Those losses resulted in a net yardage total of 4,135 yards against the 1985 Bears, compared to 4,281 against the 2004 Commanders. So already, the stats Art used to claim the 2004 Commanders were better than the 1985 Bears can be thrown out the window -- he was using gross passing yards, not net passing yards.

Then there were the 1985 Bears' 54 turnovers forced, compared to only 26 for the 2004 Commanders. And the 1985 Bears' defense allowed only 189 points, compared to 221 for the 2004 Commanders.

Also, the 1985 Bears gave up a lot of meaningless yards -- and even some meaningless points -- because they won 11 games by double-digit margins, including four games by at least 20 points. The 2004 Commanders won only six games TOTAL and only two games by double digits.

LOL. --- I'm hidden. I've been around the internet for a while and dealt with a lot smarter rejects than skins fans.

I think this is the guy that banned me for calling someone an idiot. If he thinks the Commanders defense is better than the bears SB defense, then he really is a big idiot.

Oh yea, that has to be the same guy.

I made a few posts over there with facts. One was the ESPN rankings with them and the bears in the bottom 5 of the league.

I was killing them in the arguement that the bears almost scored on them two more times in the 2nd half and he banned me for calling someone an idiot.

All of my threads are gone.

He even sent me an email saying he was going to be on the sideline of the game Monday Night. Any truth to that?
