I'm another one of those guys who still thinks that Carpenter can be a solid role player on this team. I think he can be fine if he just gets a chance. I hope he gets that chance this year.

What's it going to be then, eh?

Carpenter and Henry for Miami's 5th rounder...let's get it done

Coach Parcells would be ripping us off again.

Why is it that there is this continuing idea that he's never got a fair chance?

He has had two camps under Phillips to make a spot for himself and he has failed both times.

There is no reason why he could not have carved some sort of role for himself. He has had long auditions in both exhibition seasons and has done little more than rack up meaningless tackles downfield.

You sure about that?

Absolutely sure. Both players for a fifth rounder? I could see one or the other for the choice, but not both.

Henry should be cut either way making 5 mil next year as our 4th CB..Getting something for him in return would be that much sweeter.

The Dolphins have pick number 153 in round five. I would give them Barbie Carpenter in a New York minute and take that pick. That gives the Cowboys three picks in round five, and it could be a player like Kenny McKinnley, Sammie Lee Hill, Ramon Foster, another safety (the Cowboys need multiple safeties) ect...

You may get good player.

I'd do that for either Ellis, Henry or Bobby.

If the Cowboys could get one draft pick, while getting rid of all of them, it would be good. In my opinion, they all need to go. Trade or cut, they need to be gone. You can always try. Getting a pick out of Henry probably will not happen. They will wait until he is cut. Carpenter could yield a 5th, but I don't see anything higher for him, imo. A fifth would be great. Teams would probably wait until Ellis is cut, too.

You can always try, though. Send them all to South Beach. Henry should be a cap cut. He was a team player and class act.

Yep the guy is softer than a mouse pissin on cotton. I have seen enough, next. The Seattle game is a mirage.

I love how he gets that reputation based on a game where he had a hurt quad. He excels at covering kicks. You can't be soft and pull that off.

True.

It's quite a gig this guy has.

Bobby's Day:

-- Get up, admire self in mirror.

-- Does interview with Dana Jacobson on ESPN's First Take.

-- Drives to Valley Ranch and drops by the locker room.

-- Rummages through Owens' locker when no one is looking.

-- Lifts a few weights.

-- Chats briefly with a Jason Witten and Tony Romo.

-- Paints toenails.

-- Calls Ed Werder with a few tidbits of possible news.

-- Grooms his mustache and braids his hair.

-- Texts Matt Mosely.

-- Follows Romo around the locker room, before finally getting the hint.

-- Does radio interview with ESPN's Colin Cowherd.

-- Drives home.

That right there is something that you do not want said about your 1st round pick.

Yeah, because those guys that get 8-10-12 sacks a season just fall out of the sky dont they?

He has been given three roles so far.

Starter in season won: success.
ST player and Cowboy blitz package season 2: Success
ST player season 3: success.

Its not as if hes been given a role and failed. Really he has just never been given a shot on the field since Wade got here.
