As bad as I want us to win this upcoming Detroit game, I think we lose

Don’t you think the timing is good for us.

We are healthier than Detroit. We have played consistently well for the last 3 weeks, Detroit has not. In the past 3 weeks we have 4 new starters on defense who have all played well and helped this defense play very good. Our Offense has just played 2 top defenses and played very well. Detroits O is struggling a little lately.

Matchups: After watching our O lines and D lines vs the 2 Super Bowl teams from last year, I think they will matchup well vs Detroit. I think our receivers/TE’s matchup extremely well vs Detroits secondary.

I definitely think we have the ability, timing and matchups to win, but will the coaches have a good game plan? Will Detroit out coach us?
This is a big game for our coaches. They need our team prepared with a smart game plan. If the coaching matchup is even, we win!!!!
I like some of the match ups. I don't like trying to cover Jameson Williams with anyone in our db room. I don't trust eberflub. Then the two stud rbs present a tall task. They both can run and catch. We must bring physicality to match their energy level.

I know, but IMHO, the match up for us will be bad. If we can control the high energy, emotions of the game early, not let them score get out of hand, we have a chance. I'm worried about our slow starts. That can't happen. The two runners they have scare me more than anything.
Quinnen, Overshown, and Wilson have largely changed that, and everybody else is playing better some them now.

We'll see. Or you will, because I'll be on a plane. Lol

As bad as I want us to win this upcoming Detroit game, it's gonna be very very hard. Alot to ask. I think we lose that game. Will be low scoring. Will be a valiant effort. However, I think even more stunning will be Philly losing next week as well. Thus not really hurting us. Then what will happen is we go and run the table. We finish 10-6-1 as Division Champion. Philly will lose 4 out of the next 5. They finish at 9-8. They will beat Washington one time but lose everything else. All we must do is win the next 4 out of 5 and we are fine. We are hot. Nobody wants to play us. We are getting healthy also right at the right time. Eagles are circling the drain. Don't look now but this team loves one another and is playing like a bunch of mudders that have a chip on their shoulders. Is it the trades, Shotty, Flus, Kneeland? Is it an accident that we began playing better right after we sent Diggs home to sulk? Just asking because this ain't the same team we saw the first half of the year. I always said this is a transition year for us going back to camp. I was looking ahead to 2026, keeping my 2025 expectations low. However, could it be that we jumped ahead of the curve because of those trades we made, including the Pickens trade? Is Pick a cheat code? I'm loving it because now we are playing loose, with house money, no pressure. Nobody gave us a chance. Still don't. We shall see. Comment, let me know guys, what you think. Sorry for the very long opening statement.
Hate to burst this bubble, but have you actually seen the Las Vegas Raiders play football this season? They're not going into Philly in two weeks and winning. That's simply not going to happen. All of the other games on the Eagles schedule, certainly they could possibly lose, but not that one.

I guess I look at things differently than most.

If the Cowboys cannot beat a 7-5 team ahead of them in the wildcard standings on the road and in a game they really need to win to have a chance at the playoffs then why even worry about them making the playoffs, especially as the 7th seed where they would end up playing every game on the road against even better teams?

The Cowboys should view this and every remaining game as "must win" games or else they are out of the playoffs.
That sums up the situation quite perfectly.

I tend to agree with you that Lions probably win this, but I won’t go so far as to say absolutely they will. The Lions have lost 2 of 5 at home and probably should’ve lost 3 (Giants). Add their injuries and it’s not foregone they’ll win.
Way to take a stand!

you better believe Dan Campbell wants this game in the worst way. He will be going on 4th, mixing in trick plays, all out blitzes, and anything else he can think of. But I just think Lions have some key injuries that they can't overcome in this one.

Maybe, maybe not. That's why we play the games. Any given Sunday.
What are you even talking about ? Literally need to win out and other teams to lose 2+ games to make the playoffs, if we lose once we need teams to lose 3 to 4 games to make the playoffs.

Mind you some of these teams dont have 4 losses all season and youre expecting them to lose 4 out of 5?

No. Cowboys need to win out or its all but over.

Yup. We lose one game, and it's over. Sure, might still have some mathematical chance, but I also have a chance of Scarlet Johannson showing up at my door nekkybum as a Christmas present from my wife.

I've got a non zero chance to have a date with Sydney Sweeney.

Nothing is as it appears on paper until all the remaining games are played out. Who knows, maybe we crap the bed and lose 3. Just keeping it 100. Emotion is a large part of this sport. We will need to be resilient and start fast to win enough of these last few games. I'm proud of these guys no matter the outcome. I'm looking ahead to next season with this group and am encouraged. It's all house money right now. None of us figured we would flip a switch like we have and got hot.

The Dallas edge players and LBs will need to step up big in the run game this week. The DTs have done a great job of making it tough to run between the tackles against the Cowboys.

But, this week, Gibbs poses a huge threat with outside runs. He can wreck a game in space outside of the tackles.

Way to take a stand!
A stand? Lol..ok. I'm not cheerleading us losing this game. I hope we get the victory. I understand they are limping. But they have a season on the line just like we do, at home no less. Just looking at it in a logical way. Go Cowboys!!

If we ever had a chance to get revenge it's now. They are depleted. I just don't think we match up well against them.
and you think they match up well against us? They play a ton of man.... no way are you going to make that work against our offense.

I can't shake what they did to us last time we played. I need to see it before I can believe it.

Vegas has the over under for this game at like 52 points. I believe highest for the week, so Im not sure why you possibly think it is going to be low scoring.

In on eof your posts late in this thread you said our DBs are banged up... so witch is it? We are getting healthy or we are banged up? Guyton will be out, but our line is deep and we havent missed a beat with oline injuries. The Lions are beat up.

If we dont win this game, we dont deserve to be in the playoffs.
