As bad as I want us to win this upcoming Detroit game, I think we lose

I guess I look at things differently than most.

If the Cowboys cannot beat a 7-5 team ahead of them in the wildcard standings on the road and in a game they really need to win to have a chance at the playoffs then why even worry about them making the playoffs, especially as the 7th seed where they would end up playing every game on the road against even better teams?

The Cowboys should view this and every remaining game as "must win" games or else they are out of the playoffs.

Agreed. This is essentially a Wildcard playoff road game. Detroit needs this game nearly as much as Dallas. The loser would need a miracle to make the playoffs.

Fair enough. I think it boils down to match ups. In my view we don't match up well with them. It's a tall task to go into Detroit with so much at stake, expecting a win on the road. If we do win, I'll be pleasantly surprised. That would mean we have beaten not just the last SB participants but the team that was also in the NFC title game. Think about that. I would be stunned if we did that. Our schedule is not very favorable actually.

That's why I got Detroit. Dallas just needs to win the next 4 after the loss. Which is very likely.

Being without your top 2 weapons on O will hurt you somewhere in a 4 quarter game. Heck LaPorta killed us last year, while we were dropping passes due to the sun in our stadium, he was making it look easy with bomb catch and other catches. Plus I owe my brother and law from last year (but granted he didn’t rub it in because I watched upstairs and he downstairs).

As bad as I want us to win this upcoming Detroit game, it's gonna be very very hard. Alot to ask. I think we lose that game. Will be low scoring. Will be a valiant effort. However, I think even more stunning will be Philly losing next week as well. Thus not really hurting us. Then what will happen is we go and run the table. We finish 10-6-1 as Division Champion. Philly will lose 4 out of the next 5. They finish at 9-8. They will beat Washington one time but lose everything else. All we must do is win the next 4 out of 5 and we are fine. We are hot. Nobody wants to play us. We are getting healthy also right at the right time. Eagles are circling the drain. Don't look now but this team loves one another and is playing like a bunch of mudders that have a chip on their shoulders. Is it the trades, Shotty, Flus, Kneeland? Is it an accident that we began playing better right after we sent Diggs home to sulk? Just asking because this ain't the same team we saw the first half of the year. I always said this is a transition year for us going back to camp. I was looking ahead to 2026, keeping my 2025 expectations low. However, could it be that we jumped ahead of the curve because of those trades we made, including the Pickens trade? Is Pick a cheat code? I'm loving it because now we are playing loose, with house money, no pressure. Nobody gave us a chance. Still don't. We shall see. Comment, let me know guys, what you think. Sorry for the very long opening statement.
detroits in for rough sledding if st brown is out and they can’t run the ball. i’m not guaranteeing a win, but i am expecting one. don’t agree with most of your other points either specifically re: eagles and diggs

Fair enough. Eagles will prove me right. Diggs, I guess that remains to be seen.

Amon-Ra is hurt. We will beat the Lions

They have to deal with Gibbs. It's not as simple as stuffing the run with him. He's borderline prime Marshall Faulk.
faulk had a thousand yards receiving and nearly put up 2500 yards in a game less. i don’t know about all that lol. and again with out their primary passing target and our stout interior it’s a tall order. but that’s why they play the games

The Cowboys are well suited to beat Detroit, Goff does not respond well to pressure in his face. The Cowboys will light up the scoreboard against their D making it necessary for Detroit to throw the ball.

There is also the added juice the Cowboys will have from getting embarrassed and the score run up on them last year. I see the Cowboys winning this game with their last possession.

Ford Field and a desperate team is a bad combination.

I just want the fun to continue. Any loss will make the Zone a miserable place to be.
right. let’s keep this place mountaineer free for at least another week and i’m a happy camper

imo the key is the running game.GB should we can run against the Lions and we need real production from both our RBs and ofcouse Gibbs can beat us by himself if we let him.

One thing: QBs
- Geno Smith: mobile QB
- Jalen Hurts: VERY mobile QB
- Patrick Mahomes: very mobile (and slippery)
- Jared Goff: not as mobile

He has as quick a release as Mahomes and is one of the better OLs. It’ll be a different challenge for the DL

Philly isn’t losing 4 of 5. Dallas needs to win out for a chance at the division.

Only chance at wild card is either winning out or losing to LAC only. The Lions game is a must win.
We been in playoff mode for 3 games. Not sure we can run the table. Detroit gets paid too. At home they aren't losing to us.

Thank you. That has me worried.
