As long as we get back on track, still in good shape

NFC Standings:
Arizona - 7-1
Detroit - 6-1 (would like to see these guys and Green Bay add some losses)
Philly - 6-2 (still very catchable and now Foles is out)
New Orleans - 4-4 (the best of a bad lot, if they fell out of first in their division, we own the WC tiebreak)
Wild Cards:
Dallas - 6-3
Green Bay - 5-3 (we need them to pile on a few losses)
Seattle 5-3 (we own the head-to-head tiebreak)
San Fran - 4-4 (not playing well at all, wish we had that first game back)
Precipitous drop off….after that

So as long as Romo comes back healthy we are still in great shape with a should-win game forthcoming…followed by a very winnable game at NYG.
We're not flawless but neither is anyone else and, as lots of teams have proven, anything can happen if you can just get into the playoffs. The bye week and some health will really help.

Agree. They can still win the division if Romo is healthy. They really need to make certain that they win this coming game against Jax before going into the bye week.

Well put. The Cowboys' only disturbing loss (for me) was the Commanders game. We can attribute the Niners loss to Romo being rusty in his first game back and today was largely on Brandon Weeden.

I want to be optimistic. Dallas can beat the Jaguars and the Giants after the bye and head into Thanksgiving at 8-3 against a Nick Foles-less Eagles team and see what happens.

We'll bounce back. Hopefully Romo is able to play. That bye week couldn't come at a better time. One game at a time.

Disappointing we didn't get that Commanders game.

We control our destiny.

Romo is also 6-1 on Thanksgiving... it is reasonable to assume that will help this year.

What's more encouraging to me is its very likely that either San Fran or Seattle will be home when the playoffs begin. With an outside shot that both miss out.

I want another crack at Arizona with an actual NFL quarterback behind center. Sorry; have we stopped piling on Weeden yet??

I wouldn't mind playing Seattle in Dallas... that would be nice. Also if we have to travel to AZ it is likely there will be more Cowboys fans there than Cards fans.

If Seattle is playing well come playoff time, I'd rather not, be it home or away. Same goes for San Fran. The other scenarios I would like to avoid is travelling to Lambeau and the Superdome.

After back to back losses and injuries mounting?

What injuries are mounting. Free, Leary, and Romo will most likely be back soon. McClain and Crawford don't seem to have serious injuries. Is 1 lasting injury really "injuries mounting". Compare that to the Eagles who lost 2 big players today, we got off easy.
