As much as we bash Garrett

Garrett is a great motivator, his teams almost always play hard for him, and these days the players make very few stupid mistakes. He's not a good X's and O's guy and he's too conservative but he's an above average coach. The offensive schemes need new creativity and to be built around Dak's unique strengths and weaknesses but I've seen many many coaches who are much much worse in my 30 years of football fandom.

Everyone knows, it was the McGregor speech that facilitated the sense of urgency in this team. Garrett is not that guy.

Dude. This OL at its peak.
10 years of Tony Romo.

Franchise leader in TD catches
For 11 years this ginger prodigy has been here and we have yet to make it past the divisional round in the play-offs.
I would like to agree with you..

Problem as I see it..

Nobody but Garrett would work for Jerrah except maybe Romo.

I have no problem whatsoever giving the entire Dallas organization its due for our win versus Jacksonville. A win is a win.

Yet, it was a single game in a season with many more to follow. Let's see how we fare at its end before crowning anyone.

The entire team understood the importance of this game. However, they have been here before. It was last season in fact. They were 2-3 and and they beat the 49ers by scoring 40 points to go 3-3. Their next game was against the Commanders.

They defeated the Commanders and their next opponent to go 5-3. They were gaining confidence and improving. That's when Goodell swooped in and suspended Zeke after winning the court case. A young team, they were totally destroyed in the next three games, unable to score double digits in all three.

This team doesn't have that to contend with.On the contrary, they are getting stronger defensively with the return of Irving and Maliek Collins.Soon they will have Lee back. In the meantime, Dak increases his familiarity with his receivers and adds a more aggressive tendency to run with the ball when circumstances are favorable.

The big question is always the same. Can they perform at the same level consistently? It should be interesting after the bye.

Not ready to credit Garrett just yet. He didn't do anything. The playcalling was done by Linehan. Possibly letting things loss because of the pressure of losing his job. Garrett if he win or lose won't lose his job. Heck, I'd credit our defense and Richard more so than Garrett.

Fair enough. Don't blame him win they lose. You can't have it both ways just because you hate the guy

I'm giving more credit to Linny and Kris Richard today, who were dialing up the calls. JG made a few gutsy fourth down calls, but after last week, it's not like he had a choice.

The offense looked like one I haven't seen since the Chiefs game last season and the Hot Boyz/Secondary came within one play of pitching a shutout.

Fair enough. Blame Linny and Kris more when we lose. You can't have it both ways just because you hate the guy

All those who are so arrogant to admit something or give credit where it's due just because they hate Garrett. Don't come to the board whining and crying about him after a loss while they claim that he is doing nothing and didn't call the game when we win. It is much simpler to just say you hate the guy and don't stand seeing him on the sideline

I don't bash Garrett for losing games. I bash Garrett for his awful scheme, his inability to make the calls that win us games and his stubbornness on wanting to run an outdated offense. The Cowboys deserve better and I don't think Garrett is a good coach for the Boys. But you know what. We won. But the truth is Linehan and Richard had more to do with this win than Garrett.

You have to give him credit for this game and give him his due.

He had the players ready from the whistle and the coaches had some excellent gameplans to work with.

And they played the entire 60 minutes making a statement today.

These guys play for this guy.

They really do buy into him.

Yes..

they can stink it up at times..

but whatever he says to them when they play like this.

I wish he could bottle it and save it for the big games.

Feel free to slap me for saying it...

But I think we need to stop the Garrett bashing and just watch the games and try to enjoy.

Ok..over to you guys.
I just wish Garrett would do this every week.

I'm starting to see a pattern here buckaroos...

Wooohooo 3-3. I think we turned the corner fans. Rah Rah Garrett!! Consistently mediocre.

Lol, as my mom use to say when I was in grade school, C is being average and you should want and better bring home A and B's from now on or you will be coming off your sports team and I don't care if you are the star player. The head coach can come over to plead his case but you are off. That was the very first report card my freshman year in HS. It didn't happen again and I was taken college courses. 3-3 is average and should have won that Houston game.

JG is a clown. He'll find a way to blow another call or game in the next 3-4 weeks so i'm not giving him anything.

This, we have seen this lifetime movie before. I see the Bengals coach took a page out of playbook and scored with to much time yesterday like we always do with Mr. State Farm. They left Ben with 1:18 to play and I said when the kittens scored "they just lost the game".

Keep slapping the clown until we get into the Superbowl!! Garret has always been a joke going into the playoffs. So, this was one good game, but let's wait until playoffs before giving him CREDIT!

Right, and if we'd lost?

The team is 3-3. Did they do well yesterday? Absolutely. But 3-3 isn’t cutting it.

I have nothing personal against Garret. But he has had 8 years. Get us a deep playoff run or get out. That’s what it comes down to. Beating the jags in week 6 was fun to watch but it’s meaningless if it doesn’t help lead to the actual goal.
