First off, I'd like to preface with the fact that I'm drunker than a worm at the bottom of a Tequila bottle.
Where to start, Julius Jones, where you been all year man? I don't know if it's the way he carried the ball, or the fact that Rivera was out and Gurode is a much better run blocker at Guard (Rivera is GARBAGE), or both. Julius was absolutely on fire. This is the halfback we all "fell in love with" in 2004, for lack of a better term.
Al Johnson. I'm sorry, but you don't gash the Carolina Panthers for 194 yds and 2 TDs on the ground, plus 209 yds passing with a Center that "sucks" and gets "pushed back 10 yards every play". Hey jimmy40, what'd your wife have to say tonight? Sarge? Ya got nothin? That's what I figured.
Bledsoe is a better QB than I gave him credit for. I had to laugh when Pettiti basically let Peppers(?) run by him untouched for the Bledsoe sack, and Drew is on his knees just looking at him like, "When are you ever gonna learn man?" Priceless. If Bledsoe disciplined himself to get rid of the ball no matter what instead of taking the sack, he could be great. The clock in his head is just a second late usually. As it stands, I rate him as good, and he's not getting any younger (cough).
Our defense played pretty well, except for allowing Ricky Proehl to look like Jerry Rice, I thought we played reminiscient of the defense we've been seeing most of the season. Steve Smith? 1 catch for 18 yds before he got himself ejected, cry me a river. Ware got back on track, props to Demarcus. Sucked to see Roy get injured, hope it's nothing serious. Pile stepped in and did a respectable job. Shanle looked as clueless as he ever has, but at least he wasn't starting today. Scrub didn't even get a single tackle.
I don't know what it will take to get into the playoffs (Do the Commanders have to lose at least one game for us to even have a chance? Heard conflicting stories there) but at least the team showed up today.
