Denial is powerful....I would rather believe we could've beat NE......you never get over a loss like that

It is the one time I prefer not getting there....the Ice Bowl, the Colts SB, Jackie Smith, the Catch, spotting SF 21 in 1994 all still sting

I am also a NYYankee fan and I will never get over being 3-0 to BOS in 2004....even with Bucky Dent, Aaron Boone and the Curse of the Bambino

Are you a Lakers fan also :)

Yea we got beat by Green Bay and went one and done, but at least we didn't lose like that. Blowing a 25 point lead in the SuperBowl would be about as soul crushing a defeat as there could be.

I seriously would rather lose by 50 points than to lose like they did.............wow, biggest choke job in the history of sports. 10 points was the biggest lead ever overcome before in the SB in half a century until last night.

Dam, talk about having your soul ripped out if you are a Falcons fan today when you know they were all celebrating like it was over when it was 28-3............feel bad for them, I would probably have broken half the stuff in my house if that was Dallas last night.........LOL

Now ask yourself this question. Would you rather be in no Super Bowls in 21 years , or get there once in 21 years and lose it? That's a more likely scenario..

oh God, if Romo fumbled like Matty Melt, or took a sack when he did, damn would never hear the end of it.

Surprised more people aren't taking this angle. Ryan was having the game of his life the first half and at some point turned into Brandon Weeden. And no one is talking about it. If that was Romo he would have been crucified on the field, literally and figuratively.

Their whole offense, from coordinator down took a big dump after halftime.

I think part of the problem, as they mentioned on TV, it was an hour between drives for the Falcon offense and they seemed to have lost it. They came out on that first drive of the 3rd quarter and looked awful... And it never improved from there.

I'll ask where was Ryan's leadership on the offensive side of the ball?

The guy is a heck of a passer, but as an all-around QB? No.

Prescott doesn't have Ryan's passing skills, and may never get to that level, but he's a heck of a lot better leader IMO.

Soul crushing generational loss for falcons fans.
We've had same bad losses in big games but never this bad.

Geez would have been misery to endure the Cowboys losing a super bowl in that fashion.

I'm sure the Patriots cheated somehow. I'm trying to figure out how.

They sure adjusted well after the 2nd half. A staff member somehow placed a bug in the Falcons locker room?

When all was said and done, the Falcons' offense only scored 21 points. That's below the league average.

That's a valid point.

Have to give the Patriot defense lots of credit, which many aren't doing.

In many ways it reminded me of the way the Giants beat the Bills... They let the Bills run the football and concentrated on stopping the Bill's passing game. Same thing ended up happening, the Bills offense looked disjointed put up far fewer points that day than their season average.
