with so much drama in the LVP, it's kinda hard getting catches when you're Marty B.

But I, somehow, some way, keep coming up with funky ash blocks like every single game.

Its hard to say Newman is LVP when he had a game winning pick 6.

You would think he had given up 8 TD's the way people are on his butt. I expect better from him, but his play has been OK for the most part.

MVP Offense: Felix Jones (when he plays, he take the term explosive to a whole new level)
LVP Offense: Bennett (The only time I've heard his name called was when he lined up wrong)
MVP Defense: Keith Brooking (man is all over the field on every play)
LVP Defense: Ken Hamlin (His middle name is "pump fake")

O-MVP - Strange, but it seems very hard to pick and MVP from a unit that is underachieving, yet has the #1 offense in the league in yards per game. I would go with Choice/Witten because of the way they bring it every week.
L-MVP - Felix/Barber - Awesome when they are healthy, but they have been injury prone and it is seriously hurting what this team can do.

D-MVP - Jay Ratliff. He has been playing at an unbelievable level so far this year.
L-MVP - Ken Hamlin. He fell of the cliff after he got that contract. They need to get his replacement lined up in the offseason.

why on earth do people think Newman is not playing well. Has anyone here seen CBs around the league? T-New is outperforming most of them.

Fanidiot (noun): A fan that is an idiot.

Use: Bert is a fanidiot. He thinks anything less than perfection is unacceptable. Ernie is not a fanidiot. He knows that perfection is unrealistic and that even Deion Sanders gave up some plays.

Unfortunately, if you do compare him to other corners in the league, he is having a surprisingly bad season. According to one statistics sources, through the first 4 games he was targeted 28 times, gave up 17 passes for 274 yards, 2 TDs and an INT. That's an opponent QB rating of 102.4, which is abysmal.

I wouldnt say Newman is playing bad but I also wouldnt say he is playing up to his contract. He is paid to be elite, he sure hasnt been that.

He's also defending Steve Smith, Brandon Marshall, etc.

You can't expect a CB to be elite if the pass rush isn't there at all.

Elite corners dont get burnt deep by Michael Clayton and Mario Manningham in the 2 minute defense before the half on back to back weeks.
