Atlanta Falcons to hire Kevin Stefanski

what makes this guy so good he deserves another chance. he still does not have a quarterback worth a crap. same problems he had in cleveland follow him to atlanta. not worried about atlanta anytime soon.
Atlanta has a good roster with quality at several positions. They also play in a weak division so the playoffs are a reasonable goals

They have no QB unless he does miracles with Penix . The Rams own Atlanta’s # 1 pick . This is the least attractive opening
Cousins. Stefanski has a good relationship with him. Atlanta could be next season’s Seattle/Chicago. Their defense is up and coming. Offensive line and skill players are elite. I like them better than the Cowboys to make the playoffs next season.

Really ATL? That guy ? What am I not seeing? When was he last any good? I keep hearing he's a winning hc...ok...when? I'm not seeing it. In Cleveland the players didn't exactly run thru a wall for him.

The Falcons, like the Cowboys, Titans, Browns, seemed doomed to continually hire the wrong guy.

I don't think Stefanski's anything special.

Jeff Ulbrich didn’t exactly distinguish himself in NY I’m not sure what Atlanta thinks
His defenses were improving during the latter portion of the year last season. They looked pretty good. They just dug too big a hole early on in the year to catch up.

The way I see hiring a hc or OC,DC is this, you gotta keep throwing darts until one of them gets closest to the bullseye. Look at harbaugh, he was just a special teams coach in Philadelphia for like 10 years before he got the hc gig in Baltimore. That worked out well I'd say. That said, Stefanski doesn't even appear to be good at his job. How is that guy getting hc jobs? He's a jag. As for our new DC hire, let's roll the dice on a young phenom like parker or Jones. Let's interview Darren Rizzi for DC/ and special teams. He's Denver's assistant HC and special teams Coach. Bring this guy in and at least pick his brain. Talk to him. See how he would improve the st and defense. If we land Jim Leonard as DC, maybe he can recruit Rizzi to Dallas.

Cousins is coming back ? Is that good or bad ? I would think Atlanta having invested such a high draft slot on Penix needs answers next season on is he the answer .

No Ulbrich interview for us
I thought we didn't want somebody elses retread long-term DC that had head coaching aspirations anyway he was never high on this list...

I don't know why people seem to get upset when someone drops off the board which by the way I don't see anything that he's definitely being kept I still think he has to interview and talk to Stefanski but I don't understand how Stefanski can get fired from a terrible Browns team and so quickly be hired by the Falcons seems like a mistake to me but that's just me who cares who their defensive coordinator is I mean that is a talented team but they still don't technically have their quarterback Do you remember the Browns having a great defense and a great run game but no quarterback..

unless you think somehow penix junior is like just been being held back?

Now I'm getting off topic here but I find it strange the the cowboys don't seem to make fun of these hires when they're all retreads Most of the hires in the NFL even around sports are retrans and some are very unsuccessful retrans I don't want to hear your Coach of the Year nonsense jason Garrett got Coach of the Year once we all know that that award can be very deceiving..

How Atlanta is putting all their eggs in his basket I don't get it maybe they will keep that side of the ball but if you're going to fire Raheem Morris who was probably the architect of that defense even though yes the guy we're talking about called the plays he was the defensive coordinator but why are the Cowboys not even right now the first response would be why are they got Stefanski but why are they forcing the staff that was already there on him Isn't that the same thing the Cowboys do sometimes it's like well we'd like to keep this part of the bad team we fired the head coach but we're just gonna keep the rest of it?

Now I'm rambling but it doesn't make sense to me I think you need to clean house if Stefanski comes in there and I know it's up to him but we will never know the truth we don't even know the truth here in Dallas about certain coaches that were kept or not kept whether they were approved by the head coach or not but I'm going to tell you right now don't be firing your head coach unless you fire everyone else I think you need a completely clean slate you can't have some of the cancer you thought you got rid of stay around..

Always my opinion you're gonna fire the head coach, he needs to bring in a completely new staff from top to bottom...

He was never at the top of their list just because somebody mentioned they might be interested in talking to him and got turned down i'm kind of glad he's not available I like the other three names Parker Jones and Leonhard those are the ones they need to keep focusing on because any one of those 3 is what this Dallas team needs in my opinion..

Great hire. Cleveland management gave him no chance.
Oh my God dude you're such a hypocrite i'm sorry but I'm calling you what you are you're literally allowing a failed retread with no skins on his wall but that fake Jason Garrett Award of Coach of the Year times two and somehow you think they Made a great hire?

That's hilarious I don't think he's any better if not maybe worse than Brian Schottenheimer the man's already had his chance and failed at least Brian Schottenheimer is getting his chance to hear maybe with a good defense Schottenheimer will grow into a head coach but this guy is already failed multiple times and you call it a great hire that is the biggest hypocritical thing said in here in a long while that this retread loser is a great hire but if he would have been hired by the Cowboys it would have been an Internet breaking moment about how Jerry just keeps hiring the same old retreads the losers the yes men blah blah blah..
