RUN the ball and throw deep.

Atlanta is small and banged up on Defense, therefore if we are ever going to force our collective will on an opponent this is the week. The goal should be to have 45-55 rushes.

This will open opportunities to play action for a couple of big shots down field.

The other benefit to this plan is our Defense has to be shaken after last week and if we can limit Vick's possessions then it enhances our guys odds' of success.

I remember Tom Landry saying that it's not only who you play. but when you play them.

After things go wrong you need a soft landing to keep you from Crashing and I think playing Atlanta couldn't come at a better time. They struggle to stop the run and we need to physically pound the ball and force our will on the opponent.:star:

When the last time we beat the Falcons in Atlanta? I think it's been around 1995.

This is going to be another tough game because Atlanta desparately needs a win to keep in the playoff hunt.

But I agree, we need to pound the ball and let Romo not have to play catch-up the whole game.

Atl. is the #4th ranked run defense in the NFC (Dallas is ranked #2). Atl. & Dallas almost have idential stats on run defense. To say Dallas should run on Atlanta is same as saying teams should attack Dallas on the ground (not smart advice). However, Atl. is last in the NFC in pass defense. They give up an average of 234.5 thru the air on weekly basis. I know some wanna hide Romo a bit during his mini-slump but Dallas success truely will rely on Tomo Romo's play this week. D. Hall has been getting burned all year for big plays and there is no reason that Glenn and/or Owens shouldnt have a big day.

Hiding Romo is not part of my thinking, if you have to hide your QB then you need a new QB.

The Falcons may rank high against the run, but when I've watched them against the Saints, Giants and Commanders they looked like a team that can be pushed around.

Dallas can't change what has been very successful and that is running a balanced attack. This past game Dallas got away from it early and then by necessity due to falling behind by so much but to start winning again we need to be able to run the ball with consistency and have a quality passing game to go with it.

We need to send both Glenn and TO right at "Toast" Hall and once and for all prove he is a joke. I would love to see him get beat for 3-4 tds this game. Then watch the morons at BSPN try and explain why such a great CB was roasted and fried.
