USC is the best team of all time. Texas is DOOOOOOOMMMMMEEEED!!!!

Doomed I say.

Pete Carrol had a month to prepare. Vince can't read defenses, throw the ball, or take a wunderlic.

Doomed.

Reggie Bush is Barry Sanders, Walter Payton, and Gale Sayers rolled into one. He will have 400 total yards and 4 TD.

Duck, I says....errr...Doomed I say.

Yeah, looks like it. That pic was from about 2001 or 2002 during a Cowboys MNF win. I was pretty **** faced and was hitting that beer after a TD or something.

I love how you can see one of my college apartment roommates in the backround checking out what all the celebration was about.

I could watch this game 100 times a day. I own the DVD, but still watch the reairs...I rewound 4th and 5 with 19 secs to go on my DVR about 10 times.

ATTN: Longhorns fans!!! Look at my signature!!

Damn, too bad Roy hasn't been the cover guy or playmaker he was in college...

Funny to see Sooners grip now that Texas has equaled them in NC's this decade and is winning the recruiting wars...

OU fans can only enjoy the past cause they're gonna suck for a long, long time.
HAHAHAHAHA!!! This coming in a thread where you guys are watching a REPLAY of a past game..

anyways, I wouldn't exactly call 5 out of the last 6 living in the past..

and do you really want to get into a "who's better" battle with a Sooner fan? you will surely lose.. yes, you got us this year.. but the best comparison is the Cowboys/Commanders.. a bitter bitter rival between two historically very good teams.. lots of tradition between the two, lots of memorable games, lots of hatred.. the Commanders got the Cowboys this year, but how bout the five years before? the Longhorns got the Sooners this year, but how bout the five years before? the Commanders have won a few championships, but the Cowboys have won 5.. the Longhorns have won a few championships, but the Sooners have won 7.. the Commanders are good, but the Cowboys are better.. the Longhorns are good, but the Sooners are better.. case closed..

Don't act like OU owns the series with Texas.

It is not like the Cowboys and skins.

The Red River Rivalry has ALWAYS gone in streaks and last time I checked, Texas had the advantage.

Yeah, OU has championships, but most of those are tainted with violations and the same poison that Switzer brought to Dallas.

I will give you that it goes in streaks.. lets wait a bit though first before we call one game a streak..

and come on, man, dont stoop to calling OU's championships tainted with violations.. you could say that for pretty much anybody if you really wanted to.. every NCAA team has had their moment of violations or investigations.. anyways, Switzer won 3 of those championships, and none of those championships have an asterik next to them.. Switzer didnt get into trouble until his last couple of years at OU.. and even if you did take away his 3, we still have 4, which is the same as Texas.. haha..

Series record:
Texas leads 56-39-5

Maybe if you can keep Stoops around for 2 or 3 more decades the land thieves can even up the series.

Even better, we're on a Dallas Cowboys fansite.

Texas > Oklahoma

Texas > Oklahoma
and how many of those wins came before the modern era of football, pre WWII? Im not saying that they dont count or arent significant, but you must admit that most college football fans and experts dont really put much stock into the games and championships that occurred before the modern era.. I mean, some of those games happened before Oklahoma was even a state..

regardless, OU still has more championships and at the end of the day, thats what really counts, huh? and you guys know it and it drives you crazy.. would you really care if the Cowboys beat the Commanders twice in a given season but then the Commanders go on and win the Super Bowl that year? who do you think is gonna have the better bragging rights?

oh, and as far as the Texas>Oklahoma thing, thats another thing that should bug the crap out of you.. we are a tiny state compared to you guys, yet we have been kicking the crap out of you in football for years.. and Texans take pride in the fact that football is bigger in Texas than anywhere..

and I find it ironic that you are bragging about Texas as the better state, yet your avatar is clearly making fun of our President, a fellow Texan..

anyways, whats funny is, I actually like the state of Texas.. Im a huge Dallas Cowboys fan (I actually like them a bunch more than my beloved Sooners), and I enjoy Texas anytime I go there to visit.. and I actually like that President of ours.. but you have forced me to get in attack mode..

Not when it comes at the expense of being one of the most penalized programs in NCAA history, no.
When Bonds breaks Ruth's record it won't be as sweet as it would've been if he wasn't jacked up with cow 'roids.

OU wins with Texans on their team. OU sucked hard until they figured out that they can't win with kids from their own backwater state. Pay Texas kids and win championships was the rule until the Charles Thompson and Bosworth days got the dirt burglars exposed. Stoops brought you back up from the pits, but OU sucking wind and begging USC for mercy is a gutshot OU fans still don't understand the impact of.

Mack has his crystal trophy and is set to do to OU what he did to A&M, I hope you enjoyed the early '00s.

To this day the highlight of the OU fan's year is leaving the land of dirt, double-wides and Indian reservations and spending the weekend in civilization (Dallas) and following out-of-state professional sports programs bigger than the lifeless deadland that is their entire state.

and I find it ironic that you are bragging about Texas as the better state, yet your avatar is clearly making fun of our President, a fellow Texan..

That's Jerry Jones, actually.
And even if it were the president Texans can make fun of themselves because Texas is strong enough to handle it. Oklahoma is so pathetic that any jokes you make about it are hard to laugh at because they are so true.

but you have forced me to get in attack mode..

You started the whole rivalry argument.
That OU/tier 3 education strikes again; can't even remember what happened on the first page of the thread.

The state of Oklahoma is a parasite that feeds off the state of Texas. I'm glad you can be so proud of that fact.

one of the most penalized programs huh? nice little statement you can throw out there without any sort of evidence to back it up.. just a statement that sounds good and that people will believe.. if you want to get really really technical, the only time that OU got in trouble was the late 80s.. the closest championship to that was 1985.. so if you want to "taint" that one championship in your mind, go ahead.. that would mean that we still have six untainted championships to your four..

and thats supposed to upset me? first off, I think the fact that players from Texas prefer to go to OU should be more upsetting to you and should be indicative of what those players think of the two programs.. secondly, if you look at the rosters over the years, OU has plenty of players from Oklahoma.. but heck yeah we get a lot from Texas.. and it kills you.. thanks for Adrian Peterson, by the way..

and Bob has his crystal trophy and an embarrassingly lopsided series record and mental edge over Mack.. what Mack doesnt have this year is Vince Young, so I hope you enjoyed 2006..

if you go back and read what I wrote, I was saying that I liked the STATE of Texas but you forced me to get into attack mode.. yes, I started the rivalry argument.. I was having some fun (and still am).. but my statement was concerning that I liked the state of Texas and didnt really want to attack it..
