He actually has two years left on his contract because the cowboys will put a first round tender on him plus he can't negotiate a new contract anyways until after next season

Since Aubrey was undrafted, per the CBA, Article 7 Section 3, k ii, he can get an extension after his second accrued season. Still would be a RFA after his third season in the NFL.
Not sure how the holdout rules apply to a undrafted player, still under contract, but going into his 3rd season. Assume it's the 40k a day fine.

If drafted, he would have to wait till after his 3rd season.

Yes that's what a first round tinder is. It's a set amount that they will have to pay him for one year probably about 4 million and then he'll be a free agent. But it's all down the road and it won't be that much so it doesn't really matter. They could choose to put a second round tinder on him but then they might lose him he's that good.

They'll give him some ungodly amount, he'll fall off like every kicker we've had. Then, go to another team and be productive again.

He should hire Dak's agent!

He made a below average QB the highest paid player in NFL history, imagine what he can do for Aubrey?
