by the way, Ben N Skin did a segment on message boards last week and they mentioned there were no good cowboys message boards and were taking recommendations. A certain member here I know is good friends with them and told him to come here but they didnt like the board. It was a bummer to here, they have great info and are good guys. I would have liked to have them here.

Agree. I'd be surprised if he's under a gag order imposed by Jones, but not that he's under a gag order agreed upon by Jones.

I look at this place as a newsgroup as much as I do a message board. There isn't a Cowboys related story anywhere you can't find. The Daily Zone is the best news source I have seen.

Yea, if a Cowboy fan searches every site on the web, they will see this place has the most current info available. And it irks me when someone posts something hours late! That said, i need to get in my daily jab at this organization. Wade you are a spineless dope.

It matters only in that the media will attack him til no end for it.

Or that his players will hear he's been told to shut up and they will see him as the weakest head coach they have ever had.

He left them hanging when the season ended. He's said publicly that he's going to be tougher on them this season. Then he says to the media that he can't talk to them per team rules. Not him saying he doesn't care to talk to them, but that he's been told not to talk to them.

How does that make it seem like Wade is now large and in charge?

So if you are a player and Wade starts barking at you all of a sudden when he never did in the past you are going to respect that when you already know that he wasn't even in control of his own mouth in the offseason?

It's the trickle down theory. Jerry is annoyed. So Wade is annoyed and he takes it out on the players. I am sure these millonaires are going to love that atmosphere after two years of Camp Cupcake.

Seems like Terence Newman was right about the coaches. They aren't accountable and now we know why. They don't think for themselves to be accountable. They look to Wade and he isn't running things so then they look to Jerry and he' not in his office because he's out at the new stadium.

Same ol, same ol. There is no cohesiveness or leadership when it comes to the 'football side of things' with the Dallas Cowboys.

Wade's plan going into this season should have been to ask Jerry to at least let it seem like he's running the show. He said he's going to be tougher. Well then let him start looking tougher, not softer than ever by being scared to step up to the media and handle them.

yep, how can you be tough, when you as the head coach come out and say, its against the rules, that i cant talk to you

that stuff goes right to the players too

so how can those players respect a head coach, when he says he will formulate a plan, but not he cant talk

bottom line, all of this lays at jerry jones's doorstep,

jerry jones has opened pandoras box by allowing no head coach to have total authority and control of the team

like some of you suggest, why should players or coaches respect the head coach when they know the buck stops with jerry jones

thats the main biggest problem on this team

just like i wrote awhile back;
since 1996 how many QBs have we had, at least 10,
how many rbs, at least 9 or more
how many linemen at least 12 more more,
and list goes on, with more players at each position

but how many general managers and owners have the cowboys had since 1996? one, Jerry Jones

till jerry jones sees that, and realizes that players are going over the head coach and griping and complining to him, knowing that the players wont get fired, but the head coach and coaches will get fired

till jerry jones sees that and puts a stop to it, nothing is going to change on this team

now at the same time, that maybe why a gag order has so called to speak, been put on all of the coaches, till the team comes back, and jerry jones and wade phillips addresses the team and lays down the law

till then it will be the same ole same old thing

and that starts right there with discipline from jerry jones, and having direction on the team, whatever way he plans to do it,

then it goes down to the coaches, they have to implement hard work, lots of film study, and hard practices,

no more of this camp cupcake and no hitting the first 25 days of training camp, or no working out in pads at all in december like wade had the players working in december of 2007.

or no darn letting players get an extra day off, after they loose to a team like the cardinals, thats stupid to give these players that arent professionals,

they may want to be called professionals, but the way they act, they arent professionals, so you have to work them and work them hard

till jerry jones and coach cupcake see that, nothing will change on this team

and when the players start griping and complaining, tell those players to shut up and play and practice, their getting paid lots of money to play, now go earn it,
