Well, it's not a normal situation, but I like having good football around. No one minded when Bill Parcells consulted with as many football guys as he could. I would like to see Jerry do more of the same because Larry Lacewell just doesn't cut it for me...
But I think a bad cop is needed for this franchise. Wade's not it, and that's fine. He knows he's not it. He treats his players with respect, and sometimes they take advantage of that. But I believe that Jerry is cut from the same cloth. I think Jerry would rather be buddies with the players than get really tough on them. And if he does have to get tough with them, I think that he would rather someone else have to deliver the message...
Dan Reeves is a smart, good man who knows football. If he can come in here as a sounding board for Jerry, Wade, Garrett, and anyone else, it's a good deal. If he gets a nice paycheck to do some of the dirty work that Wade and Jerry don't like to do, that's okay too.
As long as the players understand the end result, bottom-line is that they better get in line, I don't care how it's done.
