That's what I meant to post earlier... We never got the official word that the team was moving to 105.3, but this pretty much confirms it.

In a way, though, isn't it cool to find out this way and not have a three-ring-circus press conference just to announce something like this? (Not that that couldn't still be upcoming, I guess.)

Or wait, they didn't make it offcial, did they? I thought Barry Horn all but confirmed it, but then backed off on that. Not that we didn't expect it to eventually happen, but still.

But it's funny to me that it's now the Valley Ranch Report and not just the Ranch Report. What, did the Ticket have that copyrighted? :)

Yes they are going to be on the fan, a little birdy told me and I think you know the birdy. But I was unaware mickey wouldnt be on the ticket anymore. I have to call that birdy and ask him that in a minute.

Wow I just listened to it..

Mickey's a DIK!! He comes off as some cocky jerk. I think he's completely out of line.

I thought the same thing.

Must be great to 'know everything' like Mickey does.

His 'shill for the team' role gets old.

Every move they make is great, every move they don't make is the right one too.

And give me a break about Aikman's comments. They most certainly did question Roy Williams' abilities.

Right, but I meant an official announcement about it. I was pretty sure there wasn't one, but then I started thinking that maybe with all the TO hullabaloo I just forgot about it. :)

And what's interesting is that Mick writes like he talks. The same tone is there in his "columns."

I dont want him.Another big reciever with no lateral speed.I want a lil burner slot guy in draft.Miles and Crayton can handle it too.

I don't agree with Mickey here.

Choice and Bennett for Boldin would be a good trade for both the Cards and Cowboys.

Choice is a 3rd RB on this team. Any way you cut it he's 3rd. Barring injuries, your 3rd RB is not as critical to the team's success as a 4th WR!

Barring injury a 3rd RB will hardly see the field. He'll get less snaps than our 4th WR.

Now I really like Choice and Bennett. Especially Bennett. Hate to lose them. But if it nets Boldin, we're a better team for it in 2009. There's room for him and plenty of balls for him. I want to go into the season with 4 WR's, who can play.

Ideal trade would be Choice and some combination of 2009 and 2010 picks that didn't include a 1st.

The only concern is the contract we'd have to give him. But he is under contract for 2 more seasons so it's not as if he has a lot of barging power here and would certainly take a reasonable discount for a long term deal and big bonus.

No way this happens. Last year shown that we need these players, if for anything, depth for injuries.
Not to mention the other thing you said, about the contract. Why another long big contract. Especially with the CBA up in the air as to what happens there.

Boldin is an awesome receiver for sure...but...he's got durability concerns.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but, I don't think he's played a complete season in his career. He is getting a bit older and his style of play is going to be detrimental to his longterm effectiveness.

What we would have to give up and what Anquan is going to want, makes it hard to believe we make any deal.

He is.
It's a shame because I think he has some good opinions but they're lost in his condescending tone.

Jerry would be out of his mind to involve Choice in any trade discussions. The guy is the most complete RB on the team. He will be a starter very soon.

I know many of you, like myself, listen to The Ticket's draft weekend coverage each year.

It's a kick to listen to day two when Norm and guys like Gosselin are running down the best available picks around, ohhh, the middle of the 4th round. And in most drafts, still some quality talent out there to be had.

So, as Hitzges and Gosselin are bouncing names back and forth...

Norm: A guy I continue to hear good things about, a kid named Orlando Scandrick. Goose?

Goose: Could be really good value if he falls into the fifth. Can come in and help someone as soon as next season.

And here comes Mick - the one guy in the room who does next to NO draft prep.

"If these guys are so great, why are the still available. You just cant convince me a guy like that will be any better than Jacques Reeves."

Every stinkin' year he does this. He just sucks.

I think it's going to be very interesting having him do these reports with Ben And Skin. They are not going to just let him act like a football know it all.

And that's definitely going to be a good thing.

Here's Mickey from the show today with his 'Valley Ranch Report'...

Mick - VRR - Apr 17

I love the fact that these guys are willing to take it to Mickey because it seems like he needs to lighten it up and relax a bit.

Maybe this will even put some energy into his articles from now on.

I am not hating on Mickey either by the way. But his role as the company man for Jerry has grown so very old and I like hearing him get a little energized with these guys.
