The Musers caught up with Tony Romo at a luncheon in Dallas recently...

Musers on chatting with Romo

That is some great insight about Jason Garrett and Romo talking about the philosophy that all 11 offensive players are going to win their battle on every play and if it doesn't happen the play breaks down completely.

I am glad to hear that they are working on making the offense more 'Romo Friendly' by giving him some contingency plans within the offensive structure.

Simply put I think this means the offense is going to cut down on running so many deep routes with the WR's because for that to be successful the offensive line can't ever spring a leak. And we all know that last part is pretty impossible because there are some very good pass rushers running around the NFL these days.

As for Romo sitting by himself on the sidelines when he comes off the field. I guess I can see his point about wanting to just sit and take a moment to visualize what the next series will look like, but I also think Romo may be thinking too much here.

You are not a rookie anymore Romo. At this point in his career he should have more confidence in his game to the point where he can just go out there and make it happen. We have grown to love Romo for his free styling ways and if he starts becoming a cerebral QB he won't be as effective as he's been in the past.

I do like what I am hearing from Romo these days a lot more than I what I heard in that post game presser after the Eagles game.

Hopefully he's starting to 'get it'. We are a team full of rah-rah pseudo leaders. It doesn't help team morale when your QB goes and hangs his head like he's in pop warner after a bad play, and is jumping up and down high fiving the ref when things are good. I understand thats who Romo is, but again perception is more important than reality.

Troy aikman did the same thing. He used to sit or stand by himself and looked mad all the time.

So whats your take on him? I bet if it were 1991 and you just watched us get beat at home by philly in september and saw the beating aikman took, much like romo takes when the line cant block and then saw aikman look the exact same way on the sideline....You would be saying what exactly?

Is he a pseudo leader too?

im not sure, but i took it as he was alluding to the fact the the other leaders on the team are pseudo leader, and when their perception is that Romo is down, if effects them as well.
