The Musers caught up with Tony Romo at a luncheon in Dallas recently...
Musers on chatting with Romo
That is some great insight about Jason Garrett and Romo talking about the philosophy that all 11 offensive players are going to win their battle on every play and if it doesn't happen the play breaks down completely.
I am glad to hear that they are working on making the offense more 'Romo Friendly' by giving him some contingency plans within the offensive structure.
Simply put I think this means the offense is going to cut down on running so many deep routes with the WR's because for that to be successful the offensive line can't ever spring a leak. And we all know that last part is pretty impossible because there are some very good pass rushers running around the NFL these days.
As for Romo sitting by himself on the sidelines when he comes off the field. I guess I can see his point about wanting to just sit and take a moment to visualize what the next series will look like, but I also think Romo may be thinking too much here.
You are not a rookie anymore Romo. At this point in his career he should have more confidence in his game to the point where he can just go out there and make it happen. We have grown to love Romo for his free styling ways and if he starts becoming a cerebral QB he won't be as effective as he's been in the past.
I do like what I am hearing from Romo these days a lot more than I what I heard in that post game presser after the Eagles game.
