This is a hate thread for T.O.?

Dude, you really some time off or something. You are losing it.

We try to have a discussion and you and some others come in and attack m with nonsense and then the thread goes to crap.

Grow up already. Just discuss the great interview we got from Archer one day after he got to talk to Romo and the kid had some comments that we can be happy about.

Archer didn't even bash T.O., neither did I. No one did. But you are so ____ you can't even figure that out.

Sorry man when 90% of your posts are about TO, people are going to think they are about TO, especially when you mention TO in the op

I enjoyed the interview, and who doesn't hope that Romo is ready to be a leader for his team?

One aspect of the interview that I thought was silly, though, is the idea that Romo was hurt, so he couldn't practice like he would have played in a game, and the players thought he wasn't practicing hard enough.

Cmon, players understand injuries. If people are complaining about a guy's practice habits I find it hard to believe that it is because an injured guy can't go.

I think some of the complaints were more about him not practicing well and Garrett not approaching him about it.

Then not playing well in games. That could def be because of injury.

'Habits' could be that he was not throwing the deep ball well. Or that he was miss firing on passes because of his back.

90%? LOL.

Honestly. What percentage of audio/written/video content right now about the Cowboys is about Terrell Owens?

So what should I do, start bypassing the stuff because it's about him.

It's my fault he's so popular, lol.

I mean I just posted an interview with Eddie Lebaron, no one cares abot it.

Walt Garrison, no one cares about it.

I posted the Irvin reality show story.

I posted a thread about Chase Daniel.

I posted Aikman on Irvin show.

I posted Carp on The Herd.

But if I post something and T.O. gets metioned in it I have an agenda, lol.

I can now control what the entire media world talks about, lol.

Is there a club around here or something that I don't know about where some members get together and talk about me?

How about just sticking to the topic on hand.

The Dallas Cowboys.

Not when you go around telling people that they're wrong in not believing the media. You made that bed so sleep in it.

Regardless, the post was about the media and how they are not worth our trust. You were just in it because you buy whatever they say that bashes TO.

Archer makes sense on Terrell Owens.

Listen to his take on it and really soak it in. He's not saying it's T.O.'s fault based on anything that he does. It's more about 'who he is' based on his past and about his teammates/coaches having to walk on egg shells around him because it's a fact that you lose him when you criticize him.

'Nothing is fabricated' - Todd Archer. He is one of the most trusted writers with the fans and his peers.

That's for the 'Ed Werder just makes stuff up out of thin air' club. Stop being complete homers.

I generally like Todd Archer, I really do. He's about the only local Dallas writer that I take with more than a grain of salt, much more than a grain of salt.

However, I cannot but question his statement that 'nothing is fabricated.'

Just because he believes that Owens' teammates have to walk on egg shells around him doesn't mean that Owens was truly jealous of Witten and Romo's relationship.

And Mr. Blue Suit's source once again was 'somebody who regularly speaks to Owens' teammates.' You know and I know that if it was a player, Mr. Blue Suit would've said the source was 'a player on the Cowboys.' Thus, at the very best the source...and it was one source, violating the journalistic standards of getting AT LEAST 3 sources when reporting a rumor...was probably a weak source at that. It could've been LP Ladoceur's cleaning lady for all we know.

And it's not like reporters have never fabricated stories. If Mr. Blue Suit had a history of being pretty much dead on with most of his stories, then I would back him. But, he's had a history of doing the exact opposite and I have to believe that it either the story was made up by Mr. Blue Suit OR he was lied to and unless he's completely ignorant, probably knew he was being lied to but it was a T.O. story so he was dying to run it anyway. And in my book, that makes Mr. Blue Suit a liar.

Either way, nobody has shown me that the story was accurate. Yeah, they may walk on egg shells around Owens, doesn't mean he was jealous of Witten and Romo's relationship (particularly since he seemed like a fan of Romo and Witten before the article was written).

Isn't a reporter's job to report news accurately? Seems to me that a lot of people who cannot show Mr. Blue Suit's to be true, seem to excuse it as a 'source lying to him.' Well, you're supposed to sniff out the lies and/or inaccuracies from sources.

I wish Archer and other media members would understand that. It would do everybody a world of good.

Oh he understands it, but just like cops they back one another. It doesn't bode well to have one of their fraternity exposed. As it brings the rest of them further scrutiny.

Its kind of like JJT backing Watkins and then acting like Dalrymple was the only one giving contrary reports.

BTW does anyone know offhand who the respective sports editors for the DMN and FWST because when push comes to shove it is really those guys that need to be held accountable. Its their job to make sure stories are verified and the like.

TO is neither the devil nor the victim here. He is somewhere in the middle. Some people are natural lightning rods and he is one of them. And sometimes he also uses that.
However I think most of the media everywhere is pond scum. And sports media are the lowest of the low.

Very interesting that Archer says he texted Romo the comments from Aikman and then Romo calls him back for an interview.

From there I would say Romo does care about perception, at least about Troy Aikman's perception, and that a good thing.

It's better news on Romo that the stuff we have gotten about his 'the world doesn't end' if we lose a football game stuff which has come out recently.

But Romo can talk all he wants. He has to translate that stuff to the field in 2009 and especially in the month of December.

damn bro, I was just reading a few threads where people complained you had an agenda and was going to post here to defend you against that but man you make it hard.

even in a romo interview we got to get your 2 cents about t.o. again... as in every audio file you put up to include a t.o. soliloquy.

and fwiw, archer is a solid reporter who has ties to tony romo. but he isn't making things up when he just states opinions as he clearly does here. at least unlike werder he doesn't claim they are sourced.

what werder did was wrong period, regardless of the player he did it to. if you can't see that you clearly have an agenda.

Remember when that kid told us a story about meeting Roy Williams.

And I questioned why others weren't upset with Roy's comments.

Others did too.

Then dcfanatic came and said we had an agenda.

Good stuff.

So Werder listening to his sources and writing an article is wrong?

Maybe it's his job.

He isn't a fan. He's a reporter. His job is to write/report something that generates interest so people want to read/view it.

It's not that hard to understand.

The problem people have with him should be with the team instead. They are giving him ammo to report on.

They are the sources.

They are the ones with a torn locker room.

They are the ones with a big mouth WR who sits down with their reporters.

They are the ones who have an owner who makes excuses for players being late to meetings because they were filling media obligations.

They are the ones who failed to meet expectations this season.

They are the ones who make it so damn easy for ESPN to make them look foolish around every corner.

Stop making excuses for them. It's not helping them at all.

Half the fan base says they are boycotting ESPN because Terrell Owens is crying that Werder is lying and then less than a week later he's on ESPN doing an interview and the same people have to go to ESPN to watch the interview because they want to see him say that he now doesn't think Werder is lying but that the people who were his sources were lying.

If anything those fans should be upset with him for making them look like fools for saying they were going to boycott ESPN because of him and then watching him go right back to them to sit down with SAS.

I don't know who is dumber, him or those fans?

Yep. And for all the belly aching over Werder "LYING!!!", I've yet to see any proof that suggests he was.

Even Owens essentially relented in that Stephen A. Smith interview, saying maybe Werder didn't lie but that he was pissed not to know who the source was and why they'd be talking.

Don't blame Werder and the likes for this team's woes. Blame the girly, gossipy players for constantly feeding him stories.

His job is to report the truth and verify what his sources say. A general rule of thumb is that you don't publish rumors unless you have multiple sources all saying the same thing. he did none of that.

thats the whole issue. werder is not new to this and it is completely irresponsible of him to report things based on a uncorroborated report.

it doesn't matter if werder is making it up of his source is. you can sit here and call people dumb. the only stupid thing i see going on here is blind faith that everything reported is true.
