Lots of great information on the Fisher segment on the Ben and Skin show today.

--Several players returning today, including Maliek Collins, Benson Mayowa, and Damien Wilson. Everyone is really curious to see if Mayowa does what they think he can do. He says he was hand picked by Marinelli and Will Clay.

--Ezekiel Elliot should practice tomorrow and could play Friday. He went through the walk-thru today.

--Dez was texting his WR coach during the draft pushing for Dak Prescott. lol. The Cowboys had a lot of interest all along and sent Wilson to visit him twice.

--Dez says besides being a "a ball player", Dak has the great quality of being a good listener who's an active learner who knows how lucky he is to be learning behind "a future Hall of Famer like 9". Dez' words so don't shoot me.

--Romo is really loving teaching the kid and was telling him what to expect before every drive. Everyone is thrilled (as they should be) with how Dak handled the big crowd and moment--even though it was just pre-season. Everyone (including Dak) knows that he had the easiest reads he may ever see...but he still executed the throws. Nice!

--Romo says that just him having the confidence of himself and from his teammates goes a long way. he said when he would mess up, in part due to frustration of various coverages, he would go back to Valley Ranch at 10-11pm at night and re-do everything over and over.
Sounds like Dak may have some of that work ethic in him too.

--Garrett seemed to elude to the possibility that they already made up their mind who is #2 and they may not throw Dak to the wolves with the scrubs like what they did to Showers. Not sure, but it sounded like that's possible.

--Fisher said before the game on Saturday, Dez, Frederick, and Romo were all in the tunnel huddled up with huge smiles. Romo was giving Freddy bear hugs (if that's possible) and they were thrilled for Freddy and his contract.

Happy about Zeke. Not totally worried even if we don't see him Friday. Mentally he's already ahead from what the coaches say. Yes, he can definitely use reps, but I don't want another hamstring to haunt us.

It's nice to come on this board and not feel anger and venom everytime I log in.

Dak was so good he made Cowboyszone a positive place to be for at least 6 days.

I was tickled pink to read about Dak returning to the film room at 10-11 pm at night to revisit what he was curious about over and over again.

That's exactly the type of commitment that great QBs must have in order to play error-free football. Evidently, Dak's work ethic is exceptional.

The fact that he and Dez have already established a good rapport looms large in terms of developing good communication on and off the field.

I expect that Zeke may get a few series and maybe a couple for Morris and then it will be more of the Jackson show.

That was Romo for all of these years.
They hope Dak will be like that too. They seem to think that may end up being the case.

That's what an exceptional mentor like Romo can do for a rookie who's willing and able to absorb what he's taught.

Dak is definitely starting off on the right track and Romo is just the type who will take delight in seeing him succeed.

I bet Bill is rolling his eyes every day. Romo needs to give Dak a copy of those QB Commandments

Yeah but beware of the extensive study guys. Quincy Carter was supposedly the last out of the film room many times and it turns out that's just because it took him longer to absorb any information.

You don't look at the last guy who completes a test and go "genius".
