Cowboys coach Wade Phillips indicated that Miles Austin would start if Roy Williams (ribs) is held out this week at Kansas City.
Williams believes he can play, but he's yet to practice and the coaches don't seem quite as optimistic. It had been assumed that Sam Hurd would draw the start after his final-drive work last week. Instead, Austin will likely see every-down snaps as the split end with Patrick Crayton at flanker and Hurd coming in on three-receiver sets. Austin would have upside as a bye-week play if Williams can't go.

Because I have a feeling he's gonna come up big time and get more than a 100 yards and at least a score if Roy can't go. With that, I'll start him in a heartbeat over Crayton, even though I might still be giving Crayton more looks on 3rd down.

By the Arizona game last year, before he got injured, he was basically splitting number 2 reps with Crayton. How much more this year.

I have zero faith in Miles doing anything besides potentially running a go route and getting behind a defense.

I like my receivers to do more than just run fast.

I'd rather have Hurd in there.

I just hope that if Roy is out and that Ogletree is activated, that Ogletree isn't just a spectator. I hope Garrett gets him involved and Romo gets him the ball.
