I think they both start by '18 with Brown as the slot guy.

I think Brown stays outside and Lewis plays in the slot. Brown is a little bigger and much faster than Lewis. Brown played well outside when Claiborne was hurt last year. Really could go either way, though.

I like Awuzie in the slot. I see him more so reading the QBs eyes and making plays.

I've watched tons of Michigan games, Lewis is physical and good enough to play outside. He also has great recovery time, is tough against the run and can go man to man.

Lewis is perfect for the slot. Awuzie is more of a boundary corner.

Have you watched them play?

Watched them both plenty.

Both can play the slot, but Awuzie is more built for playing in the box. Lewis is a stick. He'd get crushed on a run play. Awuzie is also being considered at safety.

I would be very surprised if barrign injury Awuzie did much of anything but play boundary corner and some slot blitzing.

If I just looked that the two highlight videos I would think that Jourdan is the better CB. Thoughts?

In all honesty, it's not a fair comparison. Both represent opposite sides of the corner back spectrum. From that perspective, they are pretty close to equal, though, they excel at different things.

Jourdan is a better press corner; he excels at staying in a receivers hip pocket. To be honest, he was one of the better shadowing corners available in this draft. His legal issues combined with his diminutive size, dropped his value tremendously. A few inches taller, a few pounds heavier, and no legal issues, he likely goes at or around the top of the 2nd round, if not late in the first.

Chidobe is a borderline Safety, who was one of the better read/react db's in this draft class, which makes him an excellent fit for a zone defense. He will definitely play outside corner, but you can put him anywhere, whereas Jourdan will likely see no spots beyond the Nickel.

So like I said, it's really not fair to compare them.

Lewis actually reminds me of Lito Sheppard of the Eagles years ago. Very similar IMO.

What's it going to be then, eh?

Lewis is the best cover corner in this draft. Bar none.

He is a boundary corner if we give him a chance.

Yes, he is short. Get over the stereotypes.

But I swear if we have Nolan Carroll and Anthony Brown running around out there in the opener, I am not going to be that pleased.

You're not optimistic on the development of Anthony Brown?
