Sounds like the attitude of a druggie rationalizing their behavior. It's was after 'spring break', so you should understand. The first one he was in the car, but not smoking? Right. I'm a very good player so make exceptions and join my rationalizations. It's a dead end. Trust me no one is thinking Janoris Jenkins should have been selected over Claiborne. Talk about this in three years. Morris will be all-pro and Jenkins will be waiting for someone to give him vet-minimum based on his talent/potential he had in college.

First of all it was for weed. Settle down. It'll probably be legal across the US in about 10 years anyway.

2nd of all, you act like people that do or have done drugs can't be great football players.

Lawrence Taylor, Michael Irvin, Randy Moss, etc... all say "Hello".

Yeah a smart winning team like the Patriots or Ravens will snatch this kid up and he'll do great for them. Meanwhile, the Cowboys will draft a "RGK" guy (I still don't even know what that means) that will be a special teams guy at best.

This organization is not able to keep these players under control and they lose out on some good talent because of it. Take Ryan Mallet for example. The Pats took him despite all of the negatives. I haven't heard a bad thing about him since they drafted him. He is only one of many that straightens up when they are drafted by a team with good leadership. This RKG label is a joke.

I think the type of drugbshould be a consideration. Weed is a long ways from meth.

He clearly can't hear you all the way up there on his pedestal.

We've had presidents of the united states admit to smoking weed in college and some people cant have a football player on their team who has? Ridiculous. I didn't think people who still actually believe that marijuana is a harmful drug and think it should be illegal still existed in the year 2013. Crazy.

Or maybe because 90% of the time these character issues are completely over blown by people who have never even met or talked to the player in question.

And what makes you say that the organization isn't capable of handling a guy with problems? When's the last time we had a player that was a problem? Dez was supposed to be this big problem type of player and he's been just fine.

Isn't it up to Garrett and the leaders of the team to police Rambo? Garrett coaches scared and drafts scared. There is no way I don't draft Rambo in round 2. Instead of wanting right kinda guys maybe the COACH and leader of men should try molding a guy into the rkg? This is why I think Garrett is full of crap.

There is this guy named Roger Goddell. He has his own set of laws.

If we took one of the Guards in the 1st round i wouldn't be opposed to spending a 2nd on Rambo, if it was only Marijuana that he failed drug test over. We need talent, we have enough veterans to keep him in line and focused.

Actually if you want to get technical he doesn't create the laws. He administers the punishment.

And the fear of Rambo getting suspended a few games is the only thing that keeps me from really wanting him in the 2nd round.

I don't care that he smoked weed, hell I've drank enough alcohol to equal well over 1000 funny cigarettes, but for some reason it was legal so "it's ok".

And for the record, I've never smoked weed in my life, but I really see no reason NOT to legalize it. It's no worse than alcohol IMO.

Cooper or Warmack (hell even Fluker) in the first and Rambo in the second, wouldn't be my best case scenario but I wouldn't complain either.

I'm probably his biggest fan. I'm a UGA fan(live in Atlanta). I would LOVE to grab him in the 3rd.

He has a good attitude, and his off the field issues aren't as bad as they seem. He failed 2 drug tests in 2 years. Honey Badger failed 3 in one year yet people still want to draft him?

Bacarri is a great coverage FS and a ballhawk. We need to stop going for "rkgs" and just take the best player.

^this, in a nutshell, screw the "rkg", they give us 8-8 seasons, this guy can flat out play.

If the Cowboys draft him, then Grantham likely would've endorsed him. If the Cowboys don't show interest, I'm betting Grantham would've done the opposite.

I'll wait to see how that plays out to pass judgement.

Dez has never had legal problems, but don't pretend that his stay in Dallas has been without drama. He had to have a shape up or ship out meeting with Jerry after the mom incident. Dez may still be under curfew. Jerry had to clean house with Pac-man and Tank just a few years ago. Jerry couldn't keep that group of thugs straight. He hasn't took a chance since because they just can't handle these type players. Poor leadership.

Then fire Garrett. Don't pass on talent because he can't handle his players. What a joke.

I think he might. Maybe not till our pick in the third but I don't see it as outrageous that he might drop to the early third.

Actually, Dallas has been getting rid of guys that were given 2nd or 3rd chances here. Garrett inherited a roster.

You should note that when you talk about Taylor and Irvin that their issues were later in their careers and the drug use precipitated or didn't help their careers. Taylor is evident. Irvin about a year later. Both didn't have issues in college. Moss had more talent than any receiver I've ever seen. Drug use followed him his whole career and caused problems for him and his team. He missed time and was in rehab. Never won a SB with Minnesota. His behavior kept him from being the best ever. Rambo is no Moss talent-wise

Again, it's the fact that it happened two years in a row which raises a red flag. If you have a career possibly in football and know that you should be avoiding MJ but can't. It's a behavior problem. Simple. I'm not judging the guy or the drug; however, I'm certainly questioning the guys commitment, desire and self-discipline as someone I'd want on my team. If you have those questions, why bother. There are plenty of other players and if not this year then another.
