Back to back get right games

The Jets will be desperate for a win in their stadium. This is a very dangerous team.

The Jets have drafted 3rd, 4th, 7th, 10th, 11th, 14th and 15th over the past 7 drafts in the 1st round.

Like the Cowboys, they have recently drafted O-linemen in the 1st round, they have three.

On defense they have Sauce Gardner and Quinnen Williams, two excellent players.

They lost two of their games by 2 points. An extra couple of good plays in each game and they could be 2-2, possibly 3-1. The Cowboys were a 64 yard field goal away from being 0-3-1.
They were also one play away from defeating the Eagles and the Packers so we could be 3-1. See how that works especially if you’re a glass half full type person.

People on this board never learn. You guys said the same thing going into the bears game 10 days ago. How about you don’t make the same mistakes 5 times a year for 30 years?
Yeah we dont have "get right games" this season. Every game is a grave test until proven otherwise.

I know that it’s the NFL any given Sunday, but the next two games are get right games for Dak and the offense to flex their strength. These should be fairly comfortable wins, but may be narrowly won. After the next two games Dallas will be 3-2-1 and contending for the playoffs.
we seem to play to the level of our competition. with that said, there is now 4 games tape on this defense. the past three games they have given up 37, 31, 40. that's bad. and over 400 yards of offense....our defense helps any offense get back on track.

QB's are having their careers best games against the defense. Field's may get his too.

Of course, which reinforces my point that the Cowboys aren't good enough to play lackluster and still win against a team, even a winless team.

When the point is made that the Cowboys could be 3-1 or 1-3, it means that the games were in question up to the final seconds. That is a less common situation for the real contenders.

There are four teams with an average scoring differential of 10 points or more per game. They can rely less on good fortune. The Cowboys need to reach that level. They can't rely on a bounce of the ball or the single decision of a ref or a 60-something field goal.

I'm not a glass half full nor a glass half empty type of person. I'm a measuring cup kind of guy, actually. I appreciate the accuracy.

This defense won’t be able to stop even the lowly Jets. What makes you think this isn’t a get right game for them? We have the worst defense in the NFL and maybe the worst defense of the last 10 years.

Nothing is a given for the Cowboys. Well…..except a putting a horrendous defense on the field. You can bank on that.
They might go out there and blow out the Jets. Dak is playing very well.

Who is a real contender?

Remember the last time we faced Fields, he ran for like 130 on the boys and with this D, I never feel confident, this is not the Doomsday D here.

Who is a real contender?
I'll amend that to "teams that appear to be legitimate contenders at this point in the season."

You are right, four games do not make a season but the early returns seem to indicate some strong teams out there.

Teams like Detroit and Buffalo are wiping out lesser opponents, leaving little doubt. The Rams seem strong as well.

My point is that when it comes to weaker opponents these teams left no doubt. It wasn't decided by a 64-yard field goal or anything like that.

The Cowboys let the Giants hang around and gave the Bears a coming out party for their QB, WR1 and rookie TE.

Even if the ball had bounced a few more times in their favor and they were 3-1, the Cowboys would still be the same team we see, just a little luckier early in the season.

If they can get some stops, create turnovers or even actually break a deep ball up……they’ll have a chance to win. I’m not worried about the offense as long as they don’t get into a scoring drought like they have this year on the road.

Anything can happen but it’s hard to see them blowing anyone out with a defense that looks historically bad up to this point.
