Agreed. I do not get the disapproval. The mistaken identity pitch is not a new idea in commercial marketing. Moore does not overplay his part. I would even say he does a good job with the deadpan humor.

And they don't have a lot of people driving from Poughkeepsie to buy a car in Boise, which is why they don't run the ad there. Moore is a big deal in Idaho. Lawrence has a bunch of bong ads coming out.

We would be surprised to see some of the local ads these coaches and players do because someone is willing to pay them a lot of money for a little bit of time. It's very lucrative and has never made any sense to me personally as I have never been motivated to buy based on someone's endorsement although I did get a shingles vaccination so Terry Bradshaw worked on me. And if I smoked cigs, Ray Liotta would have the reverse effect. If that stop smoking product turned him into that grinning creeper, could me out, I'm lighting up. Jeeeeeez, I can't watch that commercial without feeling ants crawling on me.
