Nice list! Thanks, I forgot the Monkees and Joan Jett on my list. Saw Fishbone do Sunless Saturday on SNL once. Their energy blew me away!
Fishbone is awesome live, a great warm up for George Clinton and P-Funk. It was the last day of the One World Festival but unfortunately I wasn't there for the first two days, the headliners were James Brown and Bunny Wailer. One of those regrets I never had the chance to rectify......

Here's a few more for the list.........

Fred Eaglesmith
Dar Williams
Peter Rowan
Eric Clapton
Buddy Guy

It was also a great way to travel the country and Canada. See a show in Boston on the pier and get on the Deegan and go to Yankee stadium or go to Philly then go down the Jersey shore. Go to the Hollywood Bowl in Cal.then hit a theme park in Valencia. A lot of fun times, great memories.

My first big time concert was Yes, Montreal Forum, 1979.

Vividly remember Howe, in a blue jumpsuit, moving like a cat as he played 'Clap' before going into 'Starship Trooper'.

Great list! Lotsa “old timers”, and extremely varied. When I went to Page and Plant I was blown away. I assumed it would just be old guys on stools with monks in robes—that kinda eclectic European hipster folk rock, but it wasn’t. They hit the stage loud and Rockin’ like Zeppelin! They had the guitarist from The Cure with them, and I was kinda surprised how hard edged he was. Great show! I bet you have some great stories!

I have a box of ticket stubs.
Good times.
The mix is wild because I had a few different groups of music-loving friends
There were these three girls (in New Orleans) that were die-hard concert-goers that would drag me along (they were hotties so it didn't take much convincing)
But then I had my own choices and would go with buddies, etc.
Then the music festivals
Undergrad and grad colleges....etc, etc

Lucky you (Townes VanZandt)
Big Townes fan. I was managing a club in Corpus and we had Townes booked and while I had seen him before, I was excited because I was going to get to meet him and hopefully hang out with him a little bit. I was fully prepared to drink a bottle of vodka with him....lol. A few weeks before the show, we got word that Townes was in the hospital but were assured that he was gonna be alright and was going to be at the gig, he was looking forward to playing and he was wanting to get back in the studio soon. Townes passed away about a week later on January 1st.......... devastated to hear the news

Grateful to have seen him before, but his passing a couple weeks before getting to meet him was especially tough.

I saw Plant in '83, his first solo tour. At the time, he wasn't playing any Zep songs, but during the entire show they would break into a bit of a Zep song in the middle of another song, just enuff to start to recognize it, then back to the original song. Kinda sucked getting teased like that......lol. About half way into the show, all the lights went out, stage lights, everything, no announcements, no clue what was going on. We sat there in the dark for at least 20 minutes, didn't know what to make of it. When the stage lights came back on, they had completely redone the stage, like it was a totally different show. There was a big "Honeydrippers" sign over the stage and they did a Honeydrippers set. When the set was over, they turned the lights back off and reset the stage to the way it was before and finished out with the "Robert Plant" show. It was actually kinda cool, but sucked he didn't do even one Zep song......lol

Those early tours he was very adamant about not doing any Zep songs, the tours in the latter 80s he softened up and added 3-4 Zep tunes to every setlist.
