Barber's MRI confirms quadriceps strain; no structural damage

An MRI taken on Marion Barber's leg Monday confirmed that he has a quadriceps strain.
When asked if the injury could force Barber to miss some time, coach Wade Phillips said "we'll have to wait and see on that." The Barbarian does have an extra day to get ready this week as the Cowboys play on Monday night, but he's unlikely to rush it with very capable backups in Felix Jones and Tashard Choice ready to go. Great to hear it is a strain. I will say unless he is at 100% I would hold him out of this game and go with Choice and Felix. I would rather allow him to heal than for this to be a nagging injury through out the season.

Quad strain would be to different degree. Yes, there's no tear but he still may miss weeks.

Best to rest him for "hopefully" our run starting in Nov then hurry him back before it heals properly.

I am really to curious to see what happens when Felix gets a majority of the carries.

Unless he is 100% come Monday, then I'd prefer if they let him sit. Felix and Choice is more than enough to carry the load against the Panthers.

I'd honestly do the same thing..

I would, personally, like to see Choice start with Felix getting the same type of carries. 96 yards on 7 carries sounds like what I would keep letting him do.
