I caught it during tonight's episode of Gotham. Looks dark but it doesn't give me a good vibe about the movie.

Looks good. With all the laughs MCU gives us I don't have a problem with DCU making darker comic book movies.

I don't follow comics. Why are they fighting each other and why does Superman seem like a bad guy?

I dont follow the comic books, but I dont remember ever seeing people kneeling down before Superman like that.

The trailers Ive seen look really good though, cant wait.

What I like about these trailers is you have no idea what's going to happen.

Yes, supes versus the bat.... But what's up with that? Lol

Good link, although the previous trailers displayed enough of the public's reaction to Superman's existence to explain the bowing already. People have been bowing to other people for thousands of years simply because either they see themselves as lower human beings or they're emotionally or forcefully compelled to do so.

Regardless of the reasons why the movie pits Superman and Batman against each other, heroes have fought each other for a long time. The reasons are usually typical. Misunderstandngs. Telepathic influence. Coercion. Bad hair days. Etc. Usually, something more important than the motivations behind the hero versus hero fight surfaces, like the true villain, and the heroes join forces to defeat the real threat.

Superman and Batman showdowns are only one of thousands of hero versus hero throwdowns that have happened in comics during the past century. As far as Suiperman and Batman are concerrned, Batman has used Kryptonite as an ace up his sleeve in the past once or twice.

I'm sorry, Superman is the most powerful super hero in the world. Batman would be toast if fiction was reality.

I don't know why but when I read that I thought of the "Do you want to start a rumble???" scene from The Big Bang Theory:

What you say is true but comics and their stories exists within the fictional world. And the movie will too. :p

Movie is based on The Dark Knight Returns comic. Or at least uses a lot from it.

I'll watch it because I like comics and comic book movies but supermans little finger would beat up batman

A completely made up premise to stir up interest in DC comic characters

It is interesting that the guys bowing to Superman have the "Hope" (S) logo on their shoulders. I didnt notice it in the trailers but saw it in this image from that website link
