Nope, TDK ends in a cliffhanger. Nolan planned 3 flicks.
This one will be Joker-centric, while the 3rd will be the Two-Face movie. Right?

Yes. Dent is a good guy in this one -- Gotham's District Attorney.

Dent turning to Two Face has to be the end of this one...at least the facial scarring has to happen in this one. Maroni got him in The Long Halloween, but it has to be the Joker who scars him IMO.

What was wrong with the old one? I don't like the changing of suits. It seems gimmicky to add new 'gadgets' or something.

I like it because it is actually functional. Nolan wants a more realistic Batman universe, so little subtleties like this make sense. I mean having a helmet-like cowl is better than one attached to a cape. Just far more functional.

Yep, Batman is supposed to be a world class hand to hand fighter/martial artists. It is difficult to fight at a high level when you can't turn your head. That is not realistic. Just like in football, you have to keep you head on a swivel.

The changes are not too drastic. It is not as if he is wearing a red costume now. Look at the comic books and batman has many different costumes. Some for specialized purposes.

It's got a "chain mail" base with the "armor" on top of it. Compared ot the BEGINS suit, this is a tremendous upgrade -- especially the cowl.

They're shooting in Chicago for the next 2 months -- it's going to be a HUGE film.

"some days you just can't get rid of a bomb".

if that line makes sense to you then you should know that batman is *all about* the gimmicks and gadgets.

his car has a freaking missle launcher and more lights than a star wars console. no matter the trap he'd make any 007 jealous with the thing that would come out of his belt.

i'm not a fan of body armor however. but can live w/it. but as far as gadgets???? you ever watch an old batman movie/tv show?

I understand what you are all saying, but when the previous film dedicated 30 min to showing you how his suit came about and made it seem as though you could really do this with enough money, it seems a bit of a stretch for me to believe that Batman would decide to get a new suit every movie.

It's just an alteration to the suit he wore in Begins. Since he is still in the early stages of his Batmanity I think it makes sense for him to make changes to improve his performance.

If I'm not mistaken I believe there's a plot twist which forces Batman to alter his suit.

The last one was the only batman movie I really cared for.

I thought the prior ones were terrible.

The only thing I liked about the other ones was Jack playing the Joker.

That's a very difficult choice to make, but I keep thinking back to the circus scene in Batman Forever where Kilmer stands up in the crowd and shouts, "HARVEY . . . I'M BATMAAAN!"

:shudder:
