For those of you wanting Mike McCarthy to be sacked, I'm writing this thread as a caution to be careful what you wish for. I know we all want better than what we've been doing, but what coaches do you think would agree to take the HC job here with Jerry? Mike might be the last big name we get for a while. Sean isn't going to put up with Jerry. I know he was claiming interest in 2019, but how many times are we used as a way for players and coaches to get better deals? Sean McVay won't be coaching here.

The best case scenario is that maybe we get Quinn to stay and be the HC. However, I have a sinking feeling that we are going to have Kellen Moore be the next HC. Let's face it, he's the exact Yes Man that Jerry would want, and he'd be a way for Jerry to try to prove he made the right decision in elevating Jason Garrett when he did. He very well cannot rehire Jason Garrett, but I get the sense that Moore is being groomed for EXACTLY the same purpose.

If Mike gets the sack, Jerry might use that as a way to say big names don't work, so he'll be back to the Yes Man coaches. Guess who that favours. Also, look at the way that Kellen is being protected by Jerry. We all know Moore is in over his head. We all know Mike has more experience. Yet, Mike isn't able to call his own plays. I hope I'm wrong, but the signs are there. I see Kellen Moore succeeding Mike if he gets binned, and that would be a complete disaster. But, it'd be exactly what Jerry would do to prove that he knows football.

Oh gosh, I just remembered something that makes my ears twitch even more out of concern. Do you all remember who was made assistant head coach in 2007 when Wade Phillips was hired? Jason Garrett who had just been hired as well. He was always pushing for the HC job when he was the OC. Guess what's happening in the same exact fashion. Kellen Moore is being given the Jason Garrett treatment by Jerry. At some point, if history repeats itself and if my senses are correct, he's going to sabotage Mike out of the HC job and take it over himself. Why? Cuz he'd be the next young hot HC. That'd get the media all adoring Jerry to start with which means more money.

Hahaha, sounds like a plan *swishes my tail* I seriously hope my horse senses are wrong for once. But my horse senses are really tingling about this. It's the exact move Jerry would make, and, with how Jerry runs this team, it's something that just makes too much sense.
Yeah, his MO. The second coming of Jason Garrett.

If Kellen Moore is the next HC, we're doomed. Moore is the dumbest offensive coordinator in the NFL and its not even close.

I'll be shocked if he goes with someone else!

I'd honestly be glad if he does, but I don't think he will. This move fits Jerry, and, well, we are going to have to deal with Kellen. He couldn't elevate Kellen after binning JG. He knows the fans would riot. However, a few years under Mike, and he can try to save face by saying, "He's learned all he can learn as an OC, now he'll learn the rest as HC." Essentially, back to on the job training and just doing whatever Jerry tells him to do.

*Tilts my head in confusion* I'm not sure what you mean? Are you saying that you'll leave this alone until the Vikings game?
I will not bash KMoore until there's something to question or raise eyebrows about his OC prowess....until the Minn game. I've been slinging bricks at his executions as the OC for sometime.

As the late John McKay once said when asked about his team execution, he responded with "That would be a great idea." or something similar meaning the penal system execution kind. Goes the same for the coaching.

Plus I'm keyboard tired beating the same drum. Want to be nice and give him a reprieve and some of the KMoore fans on here. But if there's something bafflin' or mind bogglin'.....I'll be right back at him on this board come Sunday. I can be fair and objective.

Kellen was clearly not ready for a HC job. Hope he improves at OC, but the gunslinger approach has got to go.
