The Falcons had a quick 3 and out and now the Bears have the ball across the 50. Not really sure who I'm pulling for.

Pull for Atlanta. That way Dallas beats a 4-1 team next week.

It's a punt fest.

I haven't seen Hester in a while. He's still pretty damn electric.

Atlanta and Chicago are currently on the tier of teams directly above Dallas' tier. They represent the next step the Cowboys must take in order to improve.

Considering at least one of these teams will end up 3-2 after this game, I'd say they're on the same level.

If Chicago loses, we would have valid reason for believing Dallas and Chicago are on the same level.

But one of these teams will also be 4-1.

3-2, 4-1 doesn't make them in another tier of Cowboys. Right now, they would all be in the same pool of mud.

I can't help but think that if we had played Miami, Carolina, New England and San Francisco, we'd be at least 3-1 right now as well.

The only common opponent, Carolina, appears to have played them a little closer than they played us.

It's not merely the record. In the case of Atlanta, it's the quality of their play and their wins.

At the end of the day, it's not about quality, it's about numbers. I don't care about style points.

Come December, no one is even going to remember these games or how they were won or lost.

And just looking at this game now, I don't how you can actually think these teams are playing at a higher level. These guys are middle-tier too, just like the 'boys.

Cutler leads the league in "what the hell was he thinking" throws.

Cutler already has two interceptions. That last one looked particularly ugly.

Perhaps.

However, the Falcons also have a 30 point pasting of a division leader on the road to their credit.

I don't think it's unfair to assert that the Falcons have been a better team than the Cowboys up to this point in the season. I'm not saying the Falcons will always be a better team, merely that they're currently a better team.

That may change next week, however.

The Bears look like a "top tier team", but their QB is doing his Jekyll and Hide thing.

They're so top tier they think they can cover 3 receivers with just 2 defensive backs.
