Bears WR Brandon Marshall on facing Dallas Cowboys CB Brandon Carr: ‘I absolutely hate the matchup’

Brandon Marshall ranks fourth in the NFL with 78 catches and ninth with 990 receiving yards. Alshon Jeffery is tied for eighth in the league with 70 receptions and ranks fourth with 1,109 receiving yards.

Marshall said Thursday that he’s not looking forward to it.

“I don’t like playing against Brandon Carr,” Marshall said. “He presents a lot of tough challenges throughout a game. You’ll notice he changes up his game when he plays against bigger receivers. He’s strong. He’s physical. He plays that way against guys like myself. I absolutely hate the matchup. It’s like playing chess out there with him. Every single play is a battle. He just makes you work so hard.”

He dominated Carr last year in Dallas. Marshall can pretty much dominate any CB that doesn't have help though.

I like Brandon Marshall. He's a beast of a WR. It's great that he got help and is doing better, it is kinda hard to root against this guy. That said...I remember what it was like sitting in the stands during that game in Denver when he shredded the Dallas defense. Like Dez, I don't think you can shut down Brandon Marshall. I just hope that Carr can limit him as much as possible.

I could have swore he caught 2 passes last year...it was for 61 yards and a TD but I'd hardly say that's dominating.

I think Carr is having his best season as a Cowboy. If he only gets beaten by great throws and catches, that’s something i can live with.

He did torch us! You won't find a bigger Carr fan here than me. I absolutely love the guy, but he can't handle Marshall one on one. Not many CB's in the league can. CB has to be one of the toughest positions to play in football.

I like Marshall, he is very unique guy. I think hes right about Carr being a gamer but that doesnt mean hes not going to get his numbers. I can handle Marshall going for 100 as long as Scandrick can keep Jeffery from doing much (I assume thats going to be the matchup) and Forte can be held in check.
