the media here are idiots I will give you that. At least the normal group that shows up daily is, hill, watkins, mosely etc... there are some good ones here like archer, sham

However. The team needs to win that game in NY. And wade phillips gets pushed around because he doesnt know any different. He has never put the media in its place and he has never done anything but sit there and take it, he doesnt know how to diffuse the questions.

Every losing coach goes through crap with the media, one of wade's shortcomings is he doesnt know how to handle these guys and because of that you get the nonsense that goes on out there.

His hypocritical view of statistics makes him an easy target and its all his fault. He has for 3 years only talked about the good stats, his good personal winning stats. He is very sensitive and can not handle criticsm.

he knows he's fired. the media knows he's fired and the players know it.

So he is in a really tough spot. If he would toughen up a little it would lessen but he just fuels the fire more and more everytime he speaks.

Wade doesn't put the fire out by the way he represents the team through the media.

Whether its right or wrong of him to answer things the way he does is debatable but imo it doesn't help his image or this teams image or perception.


But as far as calling the defenses i've been pleased with Wade and our breakdowns have been the players faults more than Wades.

I think the local media bashes the Cowboys because it resonates with the national media, and the Dallas Morning News has always been a springboard for landing jobs with the national media outlets. Tim Cowlishaw, Ed Werder, and Matt Mosley have all done it and others look to follow suit. A lot of reporters nowadays are out-of-towners who come here because they know what it can lead to.

On top of all this there is a huge media bias against Texas sports teams in general and the media loves to see them fail. During the final minutes of the Texas/Nebraska game Brent Musburger was basically wetting himself at the possibility of Texas losing and BCS chaos. Then after the game the reporters immediately started on how Texas could have played their way out of the BCS championship.

It's been going on for years and irritates the hell out of me, but it is what it is.

I'm sorry but the way to shut people up is to show you can beat the teams that always kick your *** ... we did that against Philly and it was quiet. We failed against the Giants and deserve all the criticism we get.
