A lot of us wanted it before it got to this. FA is incredibly viable when relying on a real player-personnel guy, instead of a fake GM. Especially coming off the 12-4 run with no backup QB, or the 13-3 run when our D was further exposed. Or keep the Kraken and that nastay and not be scared of him being a big ol' meanie. Could use his energy and fire and passion on D.
I haven't been a fan of Garrett from the time he was hired as OC.

I don't know. I think the Zeke, NFL crap sucked the life out of the season before it even started. I mean I usually look forward to the season opener as one of the highlight of the year. This season I just felt meh.
I never thought Dak was going to be very good in his second season, but with Zeke being out, Dez being the Dez he has been the last couple of years, Witten being ok, but nothing like his former self and replacing our entire secondary with unproven players. This season had disaster written all over it from the beginning.

We should do this again next draft!
Look forward to mini camps. Then find intrigue in training camp!
Invest countless hours in pre-, during and post-game immersion with the team.
Get frustrated.
Repeat.
Jerry knows we will.

Actually 4 losses of 20 or more. ;)

Until the staff changes I don't know what we have to look forward to. I mean it's a blast watching Zeke play, and when Dak is trucking along that's fun too. But outside of that until Jerry changes, we won't feel any different.

I just can't trust the current FO and Staff anymore.
so the last four years have been a bust

Really? So if we are so ignorant, enlighten us. Because we're not making the playoffs this year and we're entering the off-season with a lot more questions/problems that we had when we entered the last off-season.

Pay no attention. It's his M.O. He can't ever criticize the people who cause these failures. Instead, he lashes out at fans reacting to those failures.

Yesterday I watched a little of the Saints Rams game but turned it off at half time, didn't bother to see who won or anything. It was basically something to watch for a little while when I sat down. The last time I was this uninterested in the NFL was right before Jerry bought the team and the Cowboys weren't doing much. I remember turning on the radio and listening indifferently to a cowboys game while working on a rental property. Maybe the kind of change that happened then with Jimmy coming in and turning things around will take place soon.

I remember way worse than this current darkness. Dave Campo comes to mind.

Garrett is worse than Campo

Campo never had a franchise QB like Romo

With Campo everyone knew he was Jerrys pet poodle and you knew that Jerry would have to make a change

With Garrett Jerry has his pet poodle who gives the illusion of being a real HC with the cliches etc. So Jerry can keep trucking him along for a couple of more years and blind fans will continue to support them

It can't be said enough. Garrett is an absolute fraud, a cheerleader, a football politician. This, coming from a former Garrett fan (puke) when he first to the helm.

Garrett did a good job in 2007 as OC. He actually made halftime adjustments that would often pay off. They had a bunch of games where they scored 21+ second half points. Seems crazy now, but he used to be good at it.

The hype he got from that season was legit, the problem is that he just coasted after that.

He was good up to around Thanksgiving. That's when his regular process started.

I can't speak for everybody, but my problem is this:

As a Cowboys fan for several, several years, this is the only team I simply cannot figure out. Losing is one thing. Being outscored 92-22 over three weeks after outscoring opponents 101-46 the prior three weeks is perplexing.

It's like these guys suddenly forgot how to play football. All of them. Let's not single out Dak, the offensive line, the receivers, the coaches, or the defense. It's all of them. They are all accountable and there's zero excuse for it.

Only one thing will snap me out of this- a convincing win where everything clicks again. On Thanksgiving, it's almost like the Cowboys were all waiting around for someone to make a big play and nobody did (well, Dak had a 33 yard TD run erased by penalty, but nothing beyond that).
