today was official, beer will be avaliable at all home football games. beer sold at a football stadium on a college campus? whats wrong with milk, tea, or water? beer isnt a great way to enjoy longhorn games.

WVU brought it into the Big 12 IIRC so others are taking advantage of it. As AmberBeer stated...it's all about the money and WVU got a pretty good amount of money after starting to sell beer at the stadium, I would only imagine UT will get even more with the larger stadium.

I don't necessarily love the idea of Beer served but I also understand the fact that Beer at sporting events is pretty much engrained in our society. I don't believe I'm societies parents and don't feel the need to fix all ailments so to me, this is a decision the Big 12 has made. It will be up to them to police it. If it becomes too problematic, it will go away. If it is manageable, it will probably stay. I don't feel the need to rage against the machine on this because all you have to do is step outside and find how many tailgate parties with running beer in all sectors? The problem of actual alcohol management is not going to be changed by serving beer in the stadium IMO.

beer is too silly and boring like refried beans. and is gonna make most of the wild UT diehards more foolish and immature. if i were the UT fans, i go home and rest, spend time with family, do studying, or go to a movie.

I have never gotten loose on refried beans.......(well, my bowels have)........and I find them very difficult to drink.

All about the Benjamin's baby.

Although, from a liability standpoint it seems pretty stupid because half the students ordering drinks are going to be underage and using fake ID's. But I'm guessing they probably have a little backroom arrangement with TABC.

If this goes through at Tech, good luck to you all. We were bad enough just tailgating and slipping flasks in, now that there's beer in the stadium, it may get a little rowdy. Tortilla's anyone?
