..over this SB and the Jints winning it..

..give this a complete thought.

As hard as it was for us to beat the Jints 3 times in a season..

..remember the Pats had to do it twice within about 6 weeks.

And they barely beat them in game 16.

So there is a trueism here that it's hard to get up for a team you have previously beaten and it's really hard to beat ANY quality team twice in a row. Much less 3 times in a row like we were up against.

We had a tough time doing it in the playoffs and we were without the needed emotion.

The Pats also showed the same problems yesterday.

Not to take away from what the Jints did.

They earned it.

But the players and the fans should know better when these situations come up, that the previuosly beaten team has the momentum and the drive to play to a higher level in those situations if they are both good teams.

So I see lot's of lessons here for Dallas and the Pats and it's really nothing we haven't known before.

It's a question of being honest in the situation and doing whatever you have to do to overcome the tendency to not met the challenge when this happens.

Sometimes it just comes down to the numbers. The Pats number was up.

Comments..?

There wasn't a specific area one can say the Giants out-performed us, except for special teams.

The Patriots offensive line was simply dominated by the Giants front line the whole game...

I saw two things..

we had continuing penalty problems at crucial times against the Jints in our game.

We had that same problem all year, too. Fortunately for us, the penalties were overcome and didn't effect us like it did in the playoffs.

And two, our defensive secondary was outperformed by their defensive secondary.

For all our 'weapons' we had, the Jints did a much better job attacking our secondary with their 'weapons' than we did attacking theirs.

Again.

Like last year against Seattle, who also was supposed to have a beat-up weakened secondary, the Jints also were beat-up and missing starters and we still didn't take advantage of it.

But that's history. But it's something to think about why we struggled with both those issues to the point we failed..again.
