Belt: Leonhard and Gannon are the front runners

Why would you would like to carry over anything from this year? Yea! We can carry over soft zone coverages.

If this is the hire, Dallas learned nothing from the Eberflus disaster.
Because that’s what Jerry does and has done for 35 years. Look at the offense and when they changed coordinators. Same BS. There should be a clean slate with this defense.

Give me Leonhard. I am tired of hiring failed HC’s to be our DC.

Give me a young, hungry, motivated, and innovative defensive leader.

I love that Leonhard played the game at the highest level and will call out slackers or underachievers.

We need some piss and vinegar to offset Schotty’s wine and cheese party
Thank you, I 100 percent agree with this post, being GM would be easy for some of us on this forum. This is the guy for the job, in my opinion as well. When will Barnum and Bailey release this once Great football organization, we need an infusion of common sense up in here.

If we lose Leonhard to Giants...
Then we lose him

Plenty of other good and capable candidates out there.

These “content creators” arent fooling me. They are the same ones that begged for Bobby Slowik to be OC and look where hes at

I think Leonhard is their guy.

Question is he willing to come here

ARZ wasn't good enough to bring their staff to Dallas.

I don’t know why not. He obviously knows Schotty and what bigger stage could you want to spring board your career towards a HC job? Fix this mess in all the prime time games we have and he’s a hot commodity.

I just don't get it with this Gannon thing. How do you fire one defensive coordinator and then turn around and hire another defensive coordinator from another trash *** defense?

The Jones genetic pool doesn't produce intelligence for football operations apparently.

Gannon is a better DC than head coach. We are seeing the same thing with Dan Quinn in Washington. Some coaches are better off concentrating on one side of the ball than trying to oversee an entire team.

Leonhard remains my first choice, but if it's Gannon I would not be angry.

More like going in circles. Around the rim, and going down fast.

Jerry gives new meaning to the term "Coriolis effect".
1989 a year that will live in infamy. Take away what a great football mind you had in Jimmy Johnson, in the early 90's, and what he was able to do, and the cupboard is bare otherwise. Dallas will never sniff another Super Bowl with this GM in charge of football operations. It is the legends of the Dallas Cowboys that keep some of the older fans here like me. I love this team and hope to see another Super Bowl title, just like all of us, but we all know deep down how hard it is to do with Barnum and Bailey at the helm calling the shots. I will remain a diehard Cowboys Fan and hope for the best, but in the back of your mind we know who runs the show. Give me Jim Leonhard and some talent of his choosing and take the microphone away from Ol Jerry, Please and thank you.

Gannon is trash at both. He was carried by talent in Philly with one of the easiest schedules in the league and they were happy to see him leave. He plays a soft zone "bend, but don't break" scheme that would be a continuation of the BS you saw this year.

His Super Bowl year is the equivalent of Nick Foles at QB. Will never repeat.

OT: Did you steal your username from Charlie's dream book?

The fight to be responsible for the NFLs worst defense will be fierce.

Here’s the real problem most of these coordinators make more than Schottenheimer.
Is Ol Jerry trying to save 5 cents and a length of pipe again, on the paying of his coaching staff. The number one in the world sports franchise run like a dollar store, is embarrassing the key word here or is it something else. LOL.

They want to carry over from Zimmer, who had one of the worst defenses in team history, and from Eberflus who had by far the worst defense in team history right after.

Is that you Jerry.
