Belt proves the Cowboys will be big spenders in free agency this year

Yeah and imma take a big dump

If Jerry is serious he brings in actual starter quality players on defense

Not 3rd string special teams guys
You need at least 2 or 3. One of which needs to be a LB.

I think at 82, having missed the playoffs twice, seeing Philly win back to back NFCE titles, realizing hes got about 2 more years on the dak window, having 2 first round picks and the ability to free up a ton of cap space....that Jerry is going to pull the trigger and go all in for real.

Hes got to know hes near the end and this is likely his last shot without lucking out on another qb in the draft.

Hate my post all you want, but if there was ever a time it is now otherwise he may not live to see a better chance
Hey Jipper. Jerry is 83

Very true that Jerry lets new coordinators pic new players. The issue is they always go bargain shopping. Last year it was sanborn, Murray, Elam types. DQs first year he brought in a lot of his guys but it was also a lot of damaged good/ cheaper value guys like kazee, Neal.

It's pretty obvious that they need players and will have cap space. There is no way that they want 3 consecutive losing seasons and they will tar and feather Jerry if they don't do something.
Needing players, and signing good players are 2 very different things my friend.

Remember when you were excited about Sanborn, Murray, and Elam?

The only offseason move they made that worked was Javonte. And that was also a massive risk.

We did.

And he looked lost and in over his head multiple times.

And we had to listen to you all off season laughing at everyone who didn’t agree with your “fantastic offseason” nonsense.
Lol you did? How?

They have plenty of cap space to spend. The question is will they? It looks like they will.
We are $20 million over next year's cap right now (with the carryover). He is correct, we will need to restructure and/or cut some players. This is not new news; it has been discussed several times during the season, so stop repeating the above over and over.

We don't currently have "plenty of cap space to spend." We could have plenty of cap space to spend, but we will have to do some of what he said to get there.

In fact, we are 30th right now in available cap space for 2026 without cuts/restructures (only the Vikings and Chiefs have less):

I think Bobby is a necessary evil. For some of the access he gets, he must kiss the ring...which taints the information his access gained.

For example, he said after the QW trade, we would only lose 2 more games the rest of the season. So it's clear he falls for Jerry's BS too.
There is an operative word at work in your comment when it comes to Bobby.

I’m going to agree with Rambo in this case when it comes to Schottenheimer

This was a year when everything that could go wrong, did go wrong, except that Dak remained healthy

Jerry blew up the team seven days before the Eagles opener and did nothing for nine weeks to address the pathetic defensive line

Kneelands tragic suicide required an incredibly deft touch and a degree of humanity that not every coach ever has to deal with and Schottenheimer handled it like a champ.

The entire early part of the season was a complete circus with Micah and Jerry with his Netflix tour

Jerry saddled him with Eberflus, which was a disaster.

So, on top of just being a rookie head coach with a historically bad defense, he also had to deal with a lot of drama that was completely out of his control.

I think it’s absolutely fair to see what happens in year two before any judgement is made.

Again they can sign anybody that they want to sign. They will have plenty of cap space.

I hope I’m wrong but I don’t see Jerry being a big spender in FA. Meaning players who weren’t on this years roster. If he sign Pickens and Williams that would be big money. But I don’t see him spendibg big on new additions

Yes, and he probably will have to have a winning season in year 2 to keep his job.
