Sprain is a generic diagnosis they give initially. I tore my bicep completely off the elbow and it was first diagnosed as a sprain until I could get the MRI. I'm not saying Gardner's injury is any worse, just that an initial diagnoses of a sprain doesn't tell you anything.

With this team, a sprained shoulder will be a dislocated one by tomorrow. We will be told 4-6 weeks and then he go on IR.

It literally could be nothing or a season long deal. You won't know until the MRI.

I'm sure the team doctors can make a good educated guess though.

Lot's of realists around to deconstruct the team's woes for us all. Hard to say what we have on defense. Maybe enough starters will stay on the field long enough to get an idea what their identity is this year.
