Nice contract. That's a ton of money. It must be nice to be blessed with all that athletic talent so that you can turn it into millions upon millions of dollars if you're not a bonehead.

Was just going to post this. Big deal, and maybe interesting as it sets the ceiling far above what we'd consider giving for some of our DL FAs this offseason. At one point, Spencer's camp was asking for something well in excess of $10M. Atkins at $11/per puts some cold water on that, I'm sure.

I don't think there's really any deal to be made between the 2 sides.

He's older now and a longterm deal wouldn't be wise. Provided he can maintain production he might have 3-4 more years, including this year.

I think he cashes in and goes to a team willing to pay a ton.
