Cowboys Mackenzy Bernadeau has undergone surgery on right shoulder. Club is unsure, yet optimistic, that he will be cleared for OTAs in May.

We just cannot depend on this guy to be a starter.

I think that's a bit extreme.

The shoulder has probably been damaged for a while and the club probably wanted to see if time would correct the problem.

It hasn't and they've elected to do the surgery. If there is some optimism that he could participate in May OTA's then the surgery doesn't sound major.

You're confusing him with Livings. Bernie was actually solid for the last quarter of the season. Livings was terrible throughout

i doubt he is making that decision. likely done in consultation with the teams trainers and doctors who, like good medical professionals, tried a few non surgical approaches before putting him under the knife

Did they release the date of the surgery. I think it might have happen earlier, but just now got released to the press.

Most likely endoscopic surgery. Out maybe 6 weeks unless they fixed a completely torn away rotator cuff. They tried conservative therapy and it obviously failed. Sorry, you'll have to put your pitchforks and torches up.
