Layne would be a solid pick.

Warming up to Hill.

He wanted to play more in his final game, his performance deserved it and his coaches denied him. As a result he got upset. I hardly call that character concerns. Bosa gave up on his team and no one says a peep about character.

This isn’t a one time thing...go check out a few scouting reports.

Look at this list and tell me who walks on as a starter? If not a starter who is going to have a big role as a specialty player? For me it is hard to look anywhere other than Safety. TE could be for next year. Maybe a DT or DE for pass rush rotation. Outside of that, I don't see many other guys that fit the bill as an instant contributor. I am not saying there aren't good players, just that the list gets a lot shorter when you look for guys that will play immediately.

You have to consider contracts and the future, such as T. Crawford, R. Quinn, J. Witten, Gregory being a question mark, Byron Jones $$$$, Collins, etc.

No doubt but the company line has been they want a starter. Future we are gonna need a safety and probably corner and definitely DL. Offense we need a TE for future and likely one startibg OL. Safety, DL and CB are probably highest on the list for now and for next year

Bad news for those wanting safety/CGJ, such as myself:

If that’s the case, just spend other picks and move up. Looks like a bunch of turds.

Jerry “you will wait two nights to pick. Then when we do, you’re going to get a turd like Trysten Hill! But guess what! You will like it and guys like Mickey Spags will pump you full of positivity and bs!”

Two safeties went off the board in the 1st (Savage & Abram). And there's still 25 more bullets to dodge. But there's a decent chance that there will be a guy we really like at 58.

Who are your top 3 guys for #58 still available?

I would say the 12 bolded players (plus at least one of Rapp, CGJ or Thornhill) have little chance of making it to us. There are few more that aren't listed that should go early too

Should be fun

Keep this mindset out of your war room. It's toxic to the process.

Isaiah Johnson was awesome last season....1 tackle, zero ints. In 4 seasons, 9 tackles, zero ints.
Don't think those stats are accurate, but I would hate him more than an RB or TE at 58.

Definition of a project.
