I have many but the 1 that stands out is the 1st SB win over Miami, after years of hearing that Dallas was a bunch of chokers (losing to teams like Cleveland, Green Bay and Baltimore) is was great to put the critics to rest as Dallas won their 1st Championship.

When original owners bought the rights to Hail to the Commanders and forced the Commanders owner to allow a team in Dallas. :D

That was pure genius.

I would have to say the bomb Aikman threw to Harper in the '92 NFC Championship game. The Niners were coming back, we were pinned down deep, and Jimmy just showed a balls move and threw a bomb. Even better that it was at Candlestick.

gotta agree it was the first SB win; we were looked at a lot like the Colts were till this year: top team that never could win it all.

HH that was one of mine right there... Harper's TD from Aikman in SB 27 if I'm not mistaken... Harper's score right there officially put the score out of reach... Dallas was on it's way to complete and utter domination..

I remember the game like yesterday... I was at SWTxSU then and the Oiler fans had stopped jeering us by the time Irvin scored those back to back TDs in the first half...

We started jeering those Oiler fans after Harper scored that TD... Not a peep for years after that... Imagine that...

Bob Lilly hounding Bob Griese in Super Bowl VI for a huge sack. Every move Griese made, Lilly had a counter move that just kept pushing him further and further back until he finally went down. It was the signature play of our first championship and never fails to make me smile from ear to ear.

Seeing Randy White and Harvey Martin named co-MVPs in Super Bowl XII. Doomsday Defense at its best. That was one of my good old days. :)

My favorite regular season moments were in this order (a surprising amount of them came in Parcells' tenure):

1.) 1999 Season Opener, Dallas trails Washington 35-14 at FedEx in the 4th with 7:30 left on the clock, OT pass to Rocket Ismail ruins Daniel Snyder's debut as owner.

2.) Week two 2003, the heavily favored Giants lead by a field goal with 11 seconds left in regulation, rookie returner Zuriel Smith allows a New York kickoff to go out of bounds and set Dallas up at the 40.
Two great sideline throws by the now exiled Quincy Carter to Antonio Bryant set up a 52 yard game-tieing field goal by Billy Cundiff, Dallas prevails in similar fashion in OT.

3.) Week six 2003, Dallas returns Philly's arrogant opening on-side kick for a touchdown scoring the quickest TD in league history. The Eagle blunder proves the final difference as Dallas upsets the heavily favored Eagles 23-21.

4.) Week 11 1996, Dallas limps into 3 Com Park after a series of close losses to start the season at 5-4. Dallas knocks Steve Young out of the game and nulifies a Troy Aikman mistake in the closing minutes when linebacker Fred Strickland promptly picks off Elvis Grbac at the Niner 20 the very next play!
Dallas scores to tie and force OT, Dallas wins in OT taking the monkey off of Switzer's back by beating San Francisco.

5.)Thanksgiving 1994, third string quarterback and Princeton graduate Jason Garrett, throws for over 300 yards and a pair of deep scores as Dallas comes from behind to derail the favored Packers and Brett Favre.

6.) MNF 2004, Dallas performs a two minute miracle, down by ten they score two dumbfounding touchdowns as the stars literally allign for a hail mary to Keyshawn Johnson, an on-side kick recovery by Jason Witten and a Tony Dorsett like scamper for the win by rookie sensation Julius Jones who had three TDs and 198 yards on the night.

7.) Week 12 of the 1991 season, Dallas upsets the undefeated and eventual Super Bowl Champion Commanders in Washington, a last second hailmary to Alvin Harper before halftime puts the game out of reach along with a surprise 4th and 5 touchdown run by Emmitt Smith that became his career long at 75 yards.

8.) Week 16 2005, Dallas defeats the hot streaking and defending conference champion Carolina Panthers in Charlotte. All around heroics go to Terence Newman, Terry Glenn and the superb rushing of Julius Jones.

9.) Week 12 2005, a solemn day for Coach Parcells who earlier had buried his brother, Dallas was lackluster most of the night until a fire of urgency sprung forth with 5 minuted left to play. Drew Bledsoe sailed a beauty to Terry Glenn pulling Dallas within 6 points of a tie. Santa Claus disguised as Donovan McNabb then delivered a early gift into the arms of Roy Williams who bulldozed his way in for the game tieing score escorted by Bradie James' love tap to McNabb. The extra point proved to be the game winner.

10.) Week 6 2005, Dallas plays horrible football for three quarters, trailing by 16 part way into the fourth they launch an improbable comeback and with two defensive interceptions and a glorious reception by Keyshawn for both the game winning touchdown and two point conversion, Dallas escapes in dramatic fashion.

1992 NFC Championship Game, because it exorcised so many demons from my youth. I found it more satisfying than the Super Bowl two weeks later.

Easy......

1992 NFC Championship.

I thought we'd be good in 92, but I thought we were still one year away from being dominant.

I remember Young hitting Rice on a long TD on one of the first plays of the game and thinking, "Well, we'll get em next year...." Fortunately there was a flag on the play (and it was the right call no matter what Young says), and we escaped.

I remember the score being 24-20 late in the fourth. The Niners had just scored, and momentum seemed to be swining their way.

I remember thinking, "if we can only take three or so minutes off the clock, they may not have time to score".......Well, we didn't run time off the clock, we went for the whole enchilada......

Alvin Harper raced nearly 70 yards to ice the game. I was going absolutely bonkers as he ran down the sideline!

I had cheered for the Cowboys since I first watched them play in person in1981. I had never known what it was like for my favorite team to be the best. After that day, I knew.

Here are some of my favorites not in any particular order...

Emmitts game with a separated shoulder vs. the Giants.
Tony Dorsetts 99 yd run vs the Vikings.
The slant pass to Harper during the NFC Championship game vs SF.
Aikmans bomb to Rocket in OT vs Washington.
And believe it or not, during the 1-15 year. Why you ask? Because I worked with a lot of Commander fans and heard about the awful Cowboys all year long... until that game. If I remember correctly, the two biggest mouths actually called in sick that Monday.
Ken Nortons stop on Thurman(?) during the SB vs the Bills.

My favorite moment....

I was 6 yrs old on Dec. 28th 1975.

I liked football but wasn't I really old enough to have a favorite team at that time.

This day would be different though. My father is a very low-key, laid-back type of person. He never shows much emotion about anything. This day was no different except for one very memorable moment not only for me but for football fans every where.

I remember my Dad saying at the top of his lungs "I can't believe it! He caught it. They did it! Son you gotta watch this play!"

It was the Hail-Mary catch and I was hooked after that. In fact I have missed exactly one game from that moment on. Drew Pearson will always be my all-time favorite and when I was little I use to believe that Drew and Preston Pearson were related. My Dad said they were not but I would not give up the idea that 2 of the best players on the team were relatives. I thought that would be cool so I would ignore him telling me anything different.

Drew should be in the Ring of Honor in my opinion.
Thankgiving day miracle.
Hail-Mary catch.
The two tds he caught in the last 5 minutes to beat the Falcons in the playoffs.
The dude dang near made the catch from Dwight Clark a foot-note in history if not for a shirt tail tackle by Eric Wright of the 49ers.
I know I am biased but so what...Ain't nobody gonna tell me different.;)

Should have been Dallas beating Pittsburg in the Super Bowl but I just had the feeling we were lucky to win. I wanted a blowout. I'd say the day Jimmy Johnson replaced Tom Landry was right up there for me.
