Cowboys lore is hardly littered with Longhorn greats.

If I had to venture a guess, I would say Leonard Davis.

Troy Aikman, UCLA

Although I didn't go there, it has always been my college team.

Ken Norton is the only other player from there of note for us.

Funny you should mention Wayne.

After typing my initial response, I walked away from my computer, and McGarity's name flashed through my brain. If he had played a few seasons with the Cowboys, he might've made a reputation.

He was developing nicely as a slot receiver. Details surrounding his release were somewhat vague.

There is only one player from my alma mater that played for the Dallas Cowboys

Yea how about that

Killer is the player that is right Killer Keith Davis

We have like a total of 23 players drafted or played in the NFL since 1928

So it is a miracle that we even had one play for dallas

The 3 most successful players so far

Michael Bankston
Josh McCown (was an SMU Transfer)
Keith Davis

Those guys have played the longest have the most playing time of the players Bankston lasting 10 years

Rhet Bohmar (an OU transfer) was the most recent draftee bringing us to 24

4. Lincoln Coleman- Backup to Emmitt Smith in 1993 who played in snow against Miami.
5. Kelvin Garmon- Starting guard on terrible early 2000s Cowboy teams.

Best Baylor Bears in the NFL:

7. Vann McElroy- All pro safety for Raiders won SB ring in 1983.

Fun fact, more Baylor Bears have started in Super Bowls than any other Texas university.

Tom Landry is the exception.

Wasn't Landry drafted by the Giants?
Yeah, but how does that negate his Texanness? It only could have been augmented further by going to Baylor.:D
