Best Matchups in Browns vs Cowboys Game

The matchups I'm most looking forward to see are.

1. Demarcus Ware vs Joe Thomas - Both are regarded as arguably the best at their position, I wouldn't be surprised to see Ware end up with two sacks that day.

2. Terence Newman/Adam Jones vs Braylon Edwards - An up and comer star WR against one of the top CB's (if healthy) or one of the most talented albeit rusty CB's in the game.

3. Bradie James/Kevin Burnett vs Kellen Winslow - LB's seem to be at a bit of a disadvantage against elite TE's. But I think our coaches will give them a chance before switching a safety on Winslow.

September seems so far away :bang2:

The browns looked outstanding to me last night. They looked especially good up front on both sides of the ball. Its just preseason, but they looked like a team that is already in unison.

This is going to be a very difficult opener, the atmosphere will be similar to the bills game last year.

oh and the matchup I am looking for is our defense vs their offense. It will tell us alot about this season I think.

Browns did look good and Braylon Edwards one handed TD grab was awesome. This will be a good early test for the Cowboys

I expect this to be a 42-39 type of game. Not sure who will win it.

I would be a bit disappointed in the defense if we gave up that many points.

This is my favorite type opener for a Cowboys team I expect to win at least 12 games.

Road game against a good but not great team. It makes for a focused team coming out of training camp and since its not an elite team their still a very good chance to start 1-0.

At S.D. 2005, and at Jac 2006 were good openers.

I don't think Cleveland handles our pass-rush, we have 5 great pass-rushers who should be on the field together alot (Ware, Ellis, Spencer, Ratliff, Tank)

but it should be a good game

Those are all good ones...

I also want to see Gurode vs. Shaun Rogers. Unfortunately, Rogers may not dogging it and quitting until later in the year -- too bad we get them the very first game of the year.

I'm not so worried about match ups. I just wanna se certain players and check out the teams general mood. I wanna see Carpenter (Hopefully he will play to the level of another certain 54 this year. This Amendola cat is got my interest. I wanna see Stanback. Course Jones is a must see. Which reciever steps up to challenge Crayton for the #2 spot (hopefully Austin). I wanna see Ware just cause I miss him. Adam Jones just cause hes a Cowboy now.

I just wanna watch Cowboy football. man, its so cool its here again. I love this time of year.

I am most worried about the match up on Kellen Winslow he is a beast. SHouldn't it be Henry v Winslow and not burnett and JameS?

Joe Thomas is very good but he is NOT the best LT in football. BUT he certainly is top 10, maybe even top 5.

The most interesting matchup to me will be our Defense vs. their Offense. I want to see how our secondary will fare against a great passing attack like Clevelands.

im sure Henry wil line up against him also, but I think the LB's will get a shot at covering Winslow.

I agree he's not the top, I probably should have just said one of the top :)
