There is only one true group of "Triplets"... just like there is only one true "Playmaker"... anything else is just a cheap attempted copy.

At this point even though lacy is the number one, id look at starks instead.

Woa Nellie, I was just informed on another thread by Trailblazer, that any reference to a comparison to the 90's team players was an insult to all current fans...if this year's players were just mentioned.

On the standard of today's triplets, and Cowboys, I think that the status of today's Cowboy offensive line would take comparisons the final mile in approaching a season's potential production levels.

Understanding of comparisons starting to return on this thread? Presented as a direct comparison to a transitional team of '92 and this year, you drew a blank?

These sets of triplet strengths surprise me. Dallas has to be ranked fairly high.
You know Dez is better then his yards production indicate.
For a couple of years Romo is a top five QB.
Murray is a top three so far.

we're a top three [triplet] anyway.

This post is so incoherent that the only response i can give you is this. In fact, your posts today have convinced me that this site will be far more worthwhile if i never read one of your posts again. Goodbye.

I think Dallas is number 1 but Carolina could get in top 10......

Newton, Benjamin, Tolbert (D'Angelo, Stewart)

Hmmm...in no particular order.

Keep in mind the best players at a particular position may not be on my list because they don't have enough talent at another position to warrant it.

Romo
Demarco
Dez

Rogers
Lacy
Nelson

Foles
Shady
Maclin

Cutler
Forte
Marshal/Alston

Big Ben
Bell
Antonio Brown

Wilson
Beast Mode
Percy

I think EJ, Spiller and Watkins have the potential to move up, but it remains to be seen.

The best honestly is the Cowboys with Romo/Dez/Murray. Every other one has a weak link, ours is the best overall.

Romo, honestly, may be our weak link. I'm a big time Romosexual, but I'm still not convinced he is his old self.

Glad to see no one mentioning the Redsk*redacted*, Gnats, Whiners, or Saints.

No, a probable chip could have been the reason. The actually seen question, and not final protective line, was on similarities that could be drawn between today and the team fielded by the Cowboys, in '92. I started a proposal for comparison, and then developed topical discussion lines about that.

I drew comparison between the DC and OC then, and the pair that Dallas has now...as they lead the cook staff in the kitchen, once the food is selected.

I compared the pair then: Dave Wannstedt and Norv Turner, to today's: Rod Marinelli and Scott Linehan.

I brought out a Triplet comparison, and even pointed to better strength in the supporting members of today's positional group.

I then stated that today's offensive line, with the exception of Doug Free was on equal if not sounder ground than the group assembled for the '92 season...the point of transition for that Cowboys' team.

I agree, a stereotyped response system probably can't stand the jolt of comparing the two in a simple, but logical comparison between the two.

As to the defensive side of the ball, with the exception of Charles Haley, that may or may not be replicated with the newly drafted Demarcus Lawrence, the skillsets as to drafted talent levels are actually pretty similar. A healthy return of Anthony Spencer, T McClain, Henry Melton, and Tyrone Crawford could greatly affect how this comparison with that of '92...runs. Add in a productive Lawrence later, and the comparison gets quite a bit closer, in this first transitional season with the current Cowboys.

I left the secondary, as a topic that if someone actually wanted some discussion, to start swaying a debate, could have been used if that were preferred.

No, there is no problem in connecting what was actually presented...but if one is saying good bye to a solid discussion topic, then that is upon that person.

As to using the label of placing on ignore, I recommend that strongly. I would have to then start reporting postings such as this, that was based upon personality rejection. That belongs in one's OWN mind, and not mixed as intended insult rather than discussion. This site still supports discussion, but that doesn't included stereotyped responses as frequent as no Jerry, no Romo, no Garrett, and nothing replaces the '92 - '95 Cowboys team, in today's view. Sorry, that isn't a discussion, and insult is not a discussion...which here, is still a negative action.

If one desires isolation...pursue that aspect. But don't hide behind a sign of failure and lack of intelligence. That shows further, prejudice in discussion...take one's own path, but stay clear of published insult.

I presented a valid and unused topic for discussion, and that is a positive element. If one doesn't like that, then confront topic, but not with an intentioned stereotyped that even a 'mad hatter' would find socially insultive in origin...can't follow more than a single topic in development, then that is back on an observer.

Okay, lets try this exercise on:

Romo, Dez, Murray
Staubach, Pearson, Dorsett
Aikman, Irvin, Smith

Take your choice of one with the 90's Cowboys offensive line and 92/93 defense. Who do you like best?
For the rest you can throw in any Bob Hayes, Wittens, Novaceks, Tony Hills, Newhouses, Cosbiesm Herschel Walkers or whatever you want. Who would you want as your base 3?

Wilson, Lynch and Harvin are probably one of the top trios in the league. I have no idea where all this hate for Wilson comes from.

Man do we agree. I watch Wilson play and then go to message boards and read descriptions like "bus rider"?
He'll be the top QB in the NFL shortly.
Harvin is good and Lynch is still great.
In the top three
