I guess all those far NE states are next door, so touché :)

But we're all fiercely independent and each has a very different feel.

I'm in New Hampshire, and there could not be two more different states than New Hampshire "live free or die", and the "commonwealth" of Massachusetts.

If you guys want an example of biased announcers go listen to the Commanders radio team. They are not only biased but completely unprofessional.

Announcers on the local broadcasts are often biased, no?

Tommy Heinsohn does the local Celtics broadcast, and he's brutal. Even as a fan it's hard to watch.

The local Red Sox tv guys are awesome, probably better than the network guys.

Same with hockey. Andy Brickley is amazing at explaining hockey and is very fair to both teams. He's also able to complement and criticize players without being smug or grinding an agenda.

I guess I'm in the minority but when during the game, I rarely hear what the commentators say because I am looking at the formations, and play development after the snap. I watch the blocking, blitzes, etc. I usually tune out the commentators. Ya'll should give it a try

I drive my wife crazy with my own play by play, and rewinding plays all the time show her the things I'm seeing.

I can't help myself, and she's always very impressed...

I actually Like Collinsworth and Michaels. I've heard way worse than them but that's just me.

Only Joe Buck has more hatred for the Cowboys than AM.

I can at least tolerate Michaels.

Collinsworth is good in my opinion.

LOL...

Reminds me of a motorcycle ride I took with friends once. We crossed the border from Mass to New Hampshire. I stopped the group and proceeded to take off my helmet. One of my friends asked if NH was a helmet free state...I said look at that license plate and you tell me "live free or die".

John Madden made Nate Newton, Bill Bates, Moose Johnson and many other Cowboys famous that way.
The networks are selling the NFL so they'll have to sell their best players. At times we'll all hate it but it's a system that works.

I don't mind Collinsworth, he just needs to not overdo it every game with his love for specific players (ODB, JPP, Snacks, JJ, etc)

Collinsworth has really become better over the years, but still has his moments. But all announcers do.
He was one of the very few that actually supported Dez in his early playing years. When all was putting him down, Chris was saying, Dez will be fine, give him a few years to grow into the game.

He is not as critical as he once was on things and especially Dallas.

I liked what he said in the game...as much as there is to talk about Zeke and what is going on, tonight let's just talk about him as a football player....

he said something that I commented on during the game, but can't recall what it was, that irked me at the time. But then changed his tune a bit later.

(One more comment about last week's game and I'll keep it focused on Denver.)

Collinsworth- talking about how great NY's slot corner was after Beasley's caught the ball and turned him around for about a 15 yard gain.

And this one: (My favorite play of the game just because of New Yorker Al Michaels' call. Dak takes a snap from the shotgun formation starts retreating and the Giants are rushing, Micheals says, "here come the Giants!" and Dak tosses it to Zeke who runs 30 yards. I actually said to my wife (she watches the games with me), "and there goes Zeke!"

Ugh how is that biased? Why does everyone thing these announcersare biased??? They are not. They are profesionals. Its all I read week after week how this guy is biased. Who is more biased by the half the peole that post on here???? Why do u think the whole world is against the Cowboys. The league wins in the Cowboys are good. Al Michaels is not biased. He is a pro. Come on.

I do agree in baseball and in hockey where u have regional coverage. Some of those guys are def biased. That moron hawk.... Who does the white sox games is a total clown. But football is differnent. There are no regional tv announcers. They are not biased. They try to be a professional as possible

Troy is very mechanical....almost robotic sometimes.

Romo has some Madden in him...shows his emotions willingly. Outwardly displays his love of the game. Aikman loves the game too. But is much more restrained about it.

Different styles.

Kinda how they played football as well!

They may try, but there are human and therefore they are biased. Whether they can hide it or not is the question. Madden was unquestionably biased toward the Cowboys back in the day. He like they way we played football, and he didn't try to hide it at all.

Aikman seemed VERY aware of this the first few years he announced and went overboard to be anti-Dallas so as not to appear biased. He has been less so lately, but Buck doesn't seem to have a problem showing favoritism. Michaels is absolutely biased. Listen to his comments from Sunday night's game. I'm not saying he's super pro-NYG, but his comments are 75% or more from the perspective of the Giants. I still like Al, btw. I think he's good. I really don't understand all the anti-Collinsworth sentiment. I think he's really good at analysis and color commentating.

Maybe I'm weird but I do like Collinsworth. I feel like I'm getting educated by him as opposed to all the other announcers

Aikman can learn from Collinsworth. It's like they are going in opposite directions. And Collinsworth is winning the battle.

When Aikman first started, he was like that, he would make a comment, then explain it. So you learned something. He seemed to have gotten away from that, for the most part. Though he always went out of his way, and still does, not to sound like a Cowboys homer. he is not as bad most of the time otherwise.

Chris, he started out putting most everything down when he did Sunday afternoon games. But since he went on SNF, he has become much better, and explains things, and tries to see the other side of things.

We can agree to disagree. I dont see how Al Micheals is biased at all.

Maybe it's subtle, and again, I like Al. But it's about perspective.

For instance, on the Zeke play, one person can say NY came after Dak, but didn't quite get there and the safety was caught deep allowing an underneath completion for some big yards. Another might say Dak did a good job of moving Zeke across the formation and set the other WRs to flow deep and to the right to influence the safety, and Brice made a nice sustained block to allow Zeke to get a lot of extra yards.

Both statements are true. The first is a Giant bias, the second is a Cowboy bias. Al will say something like the first most of the time, since he was thinking in terms of the Giants in this game.

To me Al Michaels is a world class play by play guy. Im pretty sure he does not have an agenda. I dont think he is biased at all. Like i said we will agree to disagree

I can't wait for Romo to call a Cowboys game. He will probably predict every play the Cowboys will run.
