I love it when people try to bring up the performances of a 23 year old compared to the performances of a 34 year old. Good one.

Or, a 23-year old coming off a catostrophic accident and an apendectomy (sp), no less.

Roethlisberger looks bad, for a variety of reasons I'd imagine.

He's 24 and the reason people bring it up is because everyone and his mother was on "Big Ben's" sack since he joined the NFL. His last four starts including the SB, he has been horrible and the Steelers have won in spite of him.

Hardly catostrophic and how long will he be able to live off his burst appendix?

for the people dogging ben " HE HAS A RING!" bledsoe doesn't
well technically he does have a ring but yea it wasnt because of him, Brady got them the ring. Ben is coming off a SB winning year while Bledslow is coming off years of dissapointing play with him not making the playoffs since he left NE. plus Ben has had a lot of problems since the off-season that make it understandable why he is struggling

Maybe I'm wrong, but he doesn't physically look like the same guy that won a Super Bowl last year.

He still looks much, much thinner to me since the accident. I'd be curious to know what his actual weight is now.

...and frankly, who cares? Ben doesn't play for the Cowboys so it's of no concern to us fans. What matters is the lousy performance by Drew...

The Steelers won in spite of "Big Ben".

As an aside, does anyone else think that nickname belongs more in porn movies than on the football field?

Not to mention they actually did win the Super Bowl last year.

Oh yeah, that's right Big Ben had a bad game....he also took his team to a CHAMPIONSHIP last year.....please don't compare the two, it's embarrasing.

He's about 25 pounds lighter going into this season than he was last year. He's tried to lay it off as a blessing in disguise because he's quicker now but that's BS.

Let's make something clear.

Ben was not a great QB last year if you really watched enough games.

That running game on offense and that teams D really is what made him work last year.

Not making an excuse for bledsoe at all but ben as a QB himself was just not that great last year.

I think the Steelers really miss Bettis this year. Old or not he was the catalyst for that team on offense and many times was what gave that team the spark to get through some tough spots in games.

I'm soooooooooo freaking comforted by this.

Not!

(and yes, I did just break out the first Not! joke since 1991. Eat it.)
